Premier Inn Oban

Lovely stay in our favourite getaway destination. Staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. Clean room , good customer service and good breakfast. Was disappointed to see they have introduced parking charges for their small ca park.. but you can park nearby no problem.

Wow the Coffee Machine! A premier plus room is great, beds are firm and comfortable, as are the pillows. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the chocolate in the room is a great touch. Nice and quiet and airconditioned, you can tell Premier Plus is a quality upgrade, i would choose this hotel and room style again . Nice and with some space too. Great lighting and sleep very well. Lovely experience

We had our original train from Glasgow to Oban cancelled so we had a later train which meant we didn't arrive until 9,50pm. It was easy to find the Premier Inn and easy to check. the room was smart and we had a good night's sleep. We weren't catching the ferry until 1.15 and they happily looked after our cases. excellent service.

Ground floor room facing the harbour. Although view obscured by buildings, I'd say it's better than the street view. Rooms are spacious, all you'd expect from a modern Premier Inn. Two minutes walk from the harbour. Breakfast buffet style, which I prefer. The only negative is the £10 extra per night to park. On top of an already premium priced hotel. There is no voucher to reduce the parking fee for guests like Premier Inns operate at other premium sites (Eg. Dundee City Centre). Why is this not across all their sites? Is it to catch guests out into paying a fine?

I have stayed at this particular hotel a few times on business travel. This was a longer stay with my wife to explore Oban and its surroundings. We stayed in a Premier Plus room on the 3rd floor with a sea view. The Plus rooms have a good sized fridge, a higher standard of decor/lighting/seating with better WiFi and a Nespresso capsules coffee machine. We took the meal deal for every night of our stay and there is a good selection of food in the “Thyme” restaurant. Regarding the restaurant, I enjoy Ale battered fish, but please change to Haddock or Cod fish WITHOUT the skin on. Also, please provide spare cutlery at breakfast as after our cooked breakfast the knives/forks are removed with the plates and we couldn’t locate clean knives to use with our toast. Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much and the friendly attentative staff made our stay more enjoyable.

Premier Inn hotel is centrally located, easy to find, with adequate parking on site (which which we found to be a rarity)! Our room was clean and comfortable. We were a short walk away from many restaurant and pubs. We would definitely stay here again when in Oban.
