Barcaldine Castle

Barcaldine Castle bietet nur wenige Zimmer, welche aber sehr schön ausgestattet sind. Leider gibt es kein Restaurant und auch abens keine Getränke, dafür aber einen sehr gemütlichen Raum mit großen Sofas am Kamin, wo man sich sehr gut mit den anderen Gästen unterhalten kann. Das Frühstück ist klein, aber extrem fein. Das Gebäude an sich ist schon sehenswert, das Gesamtpaket aus Castle, Zimmer, Lage, Aussicht, Frühstück etc. macht es zum Traum

The service and hospitality was superb and our breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. We stayed in the Bredlebane Room and it was just a dream come true, bed comfy, the atmosphere luxurious yet “ haunting”, ( no,not really). This was a once in a life time trip my daughter took me on, and this Castle stay was just the best part.

The castle was beautiful inside and out but what made our stay so special was how accommodating Stefano was. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and the history of the castle was fascinating. We would recommend a stay hear to anyone who wants a special experience in their travel!

Of our 10-day trip throughout Scotland, staying at Barcaldine tops the list of things we did and places we stayed. We stayed in three different castles and Barcaldine was by far the best. This was both for the history and authenticity of the castle (you really felt like you stepped back in time to the 1600s; our room even had a 350 year old bed and its own secret passage!), and also the atmosphere. The management and staff were so friendly and created an environment where we felt comfortable and at home. We especially enjoyed sitting by the roaring fire in the evenings and getting to learn about the castle and talk with others. The rooms were also very clean and equipped with modern conveniences, while retaining the look and feel of the original castle. We will definitely be recommending Barcaldine to others and hope to return whenever we return to Scotland!

Went here on a girls trip. The castle is so amazing!! The breakfast was so good. The location is Close enough to catch a taxi to Oban for the day. The rooms very comfortable. The stairs will work your legs! The staff made sure we learned all the secret passage ways and hidden gems. It was a grand stay. No ****** but still worth the try. 🩷👻 Loved Steve! Great personality and So personable! Stefano was so clever and fun!! 11 out of 10 stars ⭐️!!

· I really like the atmosphere, location and the work that people had done on this castle, really lovely to read the history on this property. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was amazing and really well thought out and was very in keeping with the castle our room also had a secret - That I am not going to divulge. You will have to stay and find out!! Breakfast was cooked fresh with lots of choice to choose from.
