Hotel O Pino

We stayed here on our walk to Santiago. It is located c22km from our final destination on the outskirts of a small town. Lovely hotel ( particularly downstairs) with a spacious bar and attached restaurant. There is also an outdoor seating area to the side of the hotel. Room was relatively small, with small bathroom attached. Good towels, hot shower however, We had enquired on checkin whether it would be possible to eat in the restaurant. We were advised we would need to book which we did. It turned out that the entire restaurant was booked out that night. Would have had to walk perhaps a kilometre or two to the town which after walking 34km that day would not be ideal. Food was delicious and perhaps the best meal of our trip. Great starter of Russian salad followed by sirloin steak/ chips. Breakfast the next day was equally good with lovely selection of hot/ cold plates, cereals, breads etc. Overall our favourite hotel during our walk.

I have been on the Camino Primitivo for 17 days and have stayed in many small towns along the way. Amongst the small towns I would say that Hotel O Pino was a favorite. It rained all day and I got to the hotel about 11:30am which was before check in. This didn’t matter to Marcos, the owner. He quickly checked me in so I could get to a room and dry off. I had lunch, dinner, and breakfast at the restaurant and would have to say the service was excellent and the quality of the food was top notch. I would recommend this hotel and restaurant to anyone. There’s a good reason why it’s been around since 1965 and Marcos is the third generation managing it. Thank you Marcos and team for a pleasant stay.

Our final stop before reaching Santiago. Hotel O'Pino is quite a walk from the town. It is clean and the facilites are good - we used the laundry service which was very reasonably priced and well equipped. Our room was particularly small and the bathroom left you no room to turn around in. It was far too small for two people. We ate in the dinning room (lunch and evening meal) - not really much choice in that as nowhere else to go - we were really pleased with the food. It was well prepared and very tasty.

Stayed for one night while walking the Camino. Our room (Santiago) was cosy, although it did not have air conditioning. The hotel is in a small village with not much nearby so we booked to eat dinner there and it was really good and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was equally good.

Un hotel situado en un lugar encantador del camino de Santiago. Es tranquilo y acogedor. Nos recibieron con un trato espectacular. El servicio es de primera! Y la comida te deja sin hambre y sin palabras...es deliciosa! Comida gallega abundante y casera. Todo está buenísimo y lo recomendaría casi todo pero voy a destacar el caldo gallego, los calamares y las natillas. Para repetir seguro una próxima vez.

Comida espetacular atención inmejorable. Lo mejor de la zona con diferencia. Platos tradicionales de la zona, combinado con cocina algo más moderna. Y el producto es de muy buena calidad. De la zona es el mejor sitio con muchísima diferencia. No se puede pasar por aquí sin probar
