Residence Inn St. Louis O'Fallon

We had a 2 bedroom suite for 3 nights. On our first night after arriving we were aware of the AC unit not cooling the room, in fact the temperature was rising with every passing hour. I called the front desk and Micah answered, and he was so kind and helpful. He acknowledged that changing rooms could be a hassle so he offered me either some box fans, or he could move us to another 2 bedroom suite. We chose to have a new suite and we were very comfortable. He was very accommodating and helpful, and this particular stretch of time had record setting high temps with all 4 days registering above 96°. The room was clean (and I travel with Clorox wipes), the beds were comfortable, we asked for extra pillows and Micah gave us several more. We were on the 4th floor and it was quiet. The pool was clean, parking easy, and the breakfast area clean and good! Thank you Micah, our stay was very nice!

Walked in the door and immediately was greeted by a friendly face at the front desk. In fact all the staff I encountered over my several day stay were extremely helpful especially Kierston. I had forgotten some items which she helped me with. She even located a charging block for me to borrow during my stay. But the main point of my review is Fred. He mixes REALLY good food with engaging conversation (while he works efficiently and professionally) in the breakfast bar. I was in town to help with a challenging family situation and Fred (and his food) gave me a great start to my day. Seriously, his food is GOOD and changes every day. Really liked his potatoes but his signature dish is incredibly fluffy scrambled eggs. So delicious and they stay fluffy long after they’re put out to serve. Amazing. The hotel is very nice and the room was pleasant and clean. I’m returning to the area in September for the same reason but I’m returning to this Residence Inn to enjoy Breakfast ala Fred!

This hotel was filthy!!!! We had business travel to this hotel and reserved 5 rooms 2 months in advance. When we arrived to check in at 5:00pm, only 4 of the 5 rooms were available. The person at the front desk said he didn't know what we expected him to do. The expectation is to have all our reserved rooms ready at the check-in time. The next morning when one of the members of the group was getting ready there was a COCKROACH in her room. She immediately packed everything and went to the front desk. The person at the front desk advised she did not have another room available for her to move to. After advising she would not go back to that room they located another room for her to move to. The rooms were all filthy. As a hotel with kitches in all rooms they need maid service daily to empty trash to assure there is not a COCKROACH problem. This is completely embarrassing for a Marriott location!!!

Needed a place close to Busch's Wildlife and always try for a Marriott facility. This was very convenient. However, the quality of the premises could be better. We were ion a one bedroom. The floor in the pool room was not cleaned during the 2 days we were there! dirty and muddy! I complained to the desk and he said he would take care of it himself and that maintenance should clean daily. The phones in the room were not plugged in. This is a safety concern in case of an emergency. It would be difficult to try to reach the front desk on your cell phone! The TV in the bedroom did not work, had to call maintenance to repair. The breakfast was only average. The hot food was microwaved with the expected quality! All in all, I would not recommend this facility.

I have very much enjoyed my stay at this Residence Inn. I travel frequently and this is the first time I’ve stated this location. The staff is very friendly and very helpful for when I was checking in and accommodating because I have a wheelchair and I needed a specific type of room. Room is nice it would have been great except the ice machine in the refrigerator did not work. A minor issue but when I do stay at these types of hotels, the first thing I do is turn on the ice machine because I like to enjoy a cold drink or two as I am relaxing in the room. I hope that next time I say here that will not be a problem!!!

Although it was a heat wave, and there were some AC issues, it was an enjoyable stay. The kindness of the staff makes this Residence Inn a pleasant stop. The beds were more comfortable than other stops along the east west route. Dave made good eggs too. Thank you.

The hotel seems to need repairing. We were staying 2 nights. The toilet keep running. The telephone did not work. There was no ironing board. The TV commercial stated Show Time was available for free, did not work. There was no plug for my cell phone. Breakfast was a joke. First day out of egg sandwiches, no available coffee, water was not available in the restaurant, there wasn’t any coffee cups, plates or forks. I had to go into the kitchen to get cups, knives and forks. No coffee was available in the restaurant. Manager was non available. The manager needs to train the staff. They did try but miss the mark. I blame ownership for not having a manager who knew how to run a hotel and train the staff. Shame on Marriott!

We needed a pet friendly hotel over Christmas and the Residence Inn fit that need. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nicely laid out and fully equipped. Beds were a bit firm but that is a personal thing so some probably like that. We were going to book a 2bd room again for Easter but the hotel is sold out for those dates - not surprised! Breakfast offered gluten free items like prepackaged muffins and cereal, which was a bonus.
