Hotel Glendower

Nothing great except the welcome drink. They can't keep a box of tissues in the room. When I unpacked my baggage and tried to put my valuables in the locker, I found that it was not working. The staff came to our room did an hour long exercise and we were watching them like fools but the locker did not work at all. Access to the Wi-Fi was promised but it was never available in my room. It could work only when I was standing at the reception desk. I thought, if I wanted to use the wifi I should aquire the job of receptionist there. There was no glass tumbler in the room. I had to request the staff for two glass tumblers, then only I could get it. The staff except one lady Laxmi was very lethargic. They took an hour for boiling two eggs. The food was not great at all either. Next day when we wanted to take bath we found an empty bottle lying in the bathroom with a sticker of shower gel. When I requested Laxmi to kindly provide shower gel and shampoo she was kind enough to send two bottles to my room but when I started taking bath I found that in one bottle shampoo was there and in another one it was conditioner, no shower gel was provided. The most unfortunate thing was that I asked to the staff to convey my messages to the manager and request him to atleast visit my room and meet with me but he never showed his face. I don't know what does he think of himself. At the time of checking out I said, why should I pay for the facilities I had not been provided. They gave me a discount of 15%.

Best situated hotel in Nuara Eliya Great value stay at this once state of the art 1930s hotel. Full of old world charm, white cotton sheets, surprised they were not starched. Huge bedrooms and with a bath. Big breakfast in the period dining room. Ideally situated and next door to the Grand Hotel with more opulence.

This English inspired hotel is so cozy and really authentic! I love the English culture and this felt just like it. The rooms are clean and very nice, amazing food, friendly and helpful staff with lots of things to do close by. We enjoy tea factory and teplantage in the area.

My family and I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable, particularly thanks to Mr. Benadic, whose attentiveness stood out. The food was exceptionally flavorful and beautifully presented. We wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

A very nice environment and super nice service. We stayed for two nights and it’s was enjoyable. Colonial hotel with very professional service. Room service and restaurant service is very good. Nice bar. Very professional front office. Very warm and welcoming environment. Close to the town and working distance to race course, gardens and to the main town. Will definitely visit again. ❤️
