No proper service, no water in the hotel

Everything was good except there was no room heater at that horrible minus 5 degree temperature.somehow i manage my self…please choose wisely while at lachen

The property is one the best hotels in a place like lachen. The employees are very friendly and supportive. They briefed me about the precautions required in high altitude area like gurudongmar lake. Dinner served was tasty. Only problem i faced was the heating facility. As explained by the hotel mgt. Electric heaters are not permitted in lachen.

Geyser was not working… food was too costly… the hotel room was very expensive and in comparison even basic amenities like hot water or room heater was not present

The hotel is located at one end of the market but overlooking the valley. So you get a beautiful view. Food is reasonably decent. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Electricity is a major problem so you have to wait a bit for hot water. No electric blanket or heater in the room but it's a wooden structure so doesn't get too cold and the blankets provided are good. Divakar makes you feel at home. Nothing much to do here as people just stay here overnight on their way to gurudongmar lake. Nice small market to walk through and a bit of shopping as well. Grab a tongba or momos while walking. The hotel gives you packed sandwiches and juice for breakfast as most people start pretty early. It's bright by as early as 430am.

I chose to stay at hotel summit-lachen. My stay was very good, the room was clean and tidy. Entire staff was very supportive and helpful.
