We had just one night here before catching a train to Surabaya but it is a lovely small in a great location. It has a very youthful vibe but we felt welcome & comfortable (in our 60s!). The staff are lovely & helpful, in reception and in the restaurant. The room we chose was quite small but comfortable & well designed. The hotel is slap-bang in the middle of the old Kota Lama area. We had a view of the Blenduk church. If I was staying more than one night, I’d opt for the larger room. The breakfast offered is very good: you can choose something from the a la carte menu (both Indonesian & Western) plus there is self serve coffee, tea, juice, fruit, cereals, toast & rice porridge. It was all really good. There are restaurants close by. We loved Maishin Isakaya & would have eaten there more than once if we’d been here longer. An early walk to the bustling street market in the Chinatown area (Kauman) is fun.

There are so many plus points: ⭐️ Only 500m from Semarang Tawang Train Station ⭐️ Located right in the heart of Kota Lama Semarang (surrounded by Blenduk Church, Srigunting Park, Spiegel Building, Marba Building, Semarang Contemporary Art Gallery, and Siwil Art) ⭐️ Has lockers and a shower room for travelers who aren’t staying overnight but want to explore Kota Lama ⭐️ There’s a concept store with the cutest items!! (All the perfumes smell amazing😭) ⭐️ There’s an adorable restaurant with super delicious food! ⭐️ The exterior is all white, but the interior is super vibrant and colorful, making you happy! ⭐️ There’s a Blenduk Room type with a view facing Blenduk Church + if you catch the sunset, the rays fill the room beautifully, so sweet😭✨ ⭐️ Thoughtful service: even the greeting cards have little missions for you to explore Kota Lama!

Actually, I’m still here till tmrw and I wish I could stay longer! Saw this Hotel two years ago, when it’s just open. I swear to myself that I will one day stay here, when I return to Semarang, and I did. Lemme tell you, I’m more than statisfied! This hotel is really really cute and well designed! It is a treat to a sore eyes, really. From the lobby to the room, everywhere is very aesthetically pleasing. The room is on the smaller side, but to be expected for a smart hotel. But it doesn’t feel packed, due to the layout. Im in room 320 and everything works perfectly. And the view is straight to the magnificent Blenduk Church! The staffs are very nice and helpful. The food at Cemil Dining is great! You have to try their Nasi Goreng Kecombrang! Yummy! And last but definitely not least, The Location is right in the middle of the Old Town Semaranf, right in between of Gereja Blenduk and the famous Spiegel Bar and Restaurant. There are a mini market, literally across the street and plenty other restaurants and cafes within walking distance. And it is 5 minutes drive from Semarang’s main train station. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to go to Semarang! Oh they do have Suite Room, but when I book, sadly it wasn’t available. Maybe next time!

strategis location, very good hotel and super aesthetic room clean and more space staff humble and welcome and ofc u can come to cemil dining or cafe in kotta hotel taste of food delicisous and the price affordable tho this hotel soo recommend for staycation

We had an amazing stay! The bed is sooooo comfy, the pillows are great, the shower is hot with really good pressure and there's heaps of space for parking. The coffee is great, you can refill your water bottle for free everywhere and the breakfast options are plentiful and tasty. Every staff member is super friendly and very happy to help. Thank you! Our new favourite place to stay for holidays and business when we visit Semarang :)))
