Crescent Sands of Windy Hill by Elliott Beach Rentals

I rented unit F4 at Crescent Sands Windy Hill. We we arrived, the representative stated the unit was "all cleaned and ready." That was not true. The unit was filthy. It appeared the bathroom sinks, tubs and toilet were cleaned, but that was it. The floors had hair and debris, there was black on the floor. The microwave, counters, stove and refrigerator had not been cleaned. The bathroom rugs and kitchen rugs were filthy. The pillows and mattress covers were nasty. After calling the office, a housekeeper came and cleaned the kitchen and swept and mopped the floors. I requested a move to another unit or condo managed by Elliott, but was told there was none available. New mattress covers arrived that evening, but pillows did not arrive until Thursday (day 6 of our stay). We had to purchase pillows our first day. We were promised a refund of $305 that is to be mailed to me next week, in compensation for the satisfaction. The fee for the week was $2633. The kitchen was well-equipped (but dishes pulled from the cabinet were dirty, I re-washed all the dishes in the cabinet), the outside areas were well-maintained and clean. There was a step-in shower, but the outside access to the beach had steps, which made it difficult for my elderly mother to get to the beach. There was no ramp or beach access other than the steps. The representative that I spoke to was courteous and I think tried to be as helpful as she could, but as I told her, I will not rent from Elliott in the future.

This is through Condo-World. The pictures on their site must have been taken years ago! We are first time snowbirds and booked for two months. The layout of the condo and the balcony are wonderful, but that’s it. The curtains in the living room are torn and look to be dry rotted. The whole condo needs to be freshly painted. The wall behind the microwave has scorch marks from a prior microwave since this is a different one from the pictures on their website. The trim around the bathroom doors are rusted. The carpet in the bedrooms need to be replaced especially the back bedroom with the queen bed. The room has a mildew smell. I used baking soda and Damp Rid along with other deodorizers, but nothing worked. I can handle old, but torn curtains and a smell is too much.
