Possums is a purpose-built one-bed cottage nestled among the bamboo and Macadamia trees in a garden setting on a 5-acre property on a hillside and is ideal for a peaceful, tranquil get away. Rejuvenate on the large deck while soaking up the sounds of nature or relax in the hydrotherapy spa. The property is close to town, the golf course and Baroon Pocket Dam. Enjoy a delicious breakfast featuring locally sourced products before exploring the surrounding area. Let us be your home away from home! The retreat provides a modern, clean and quiet living space in a garden setting. The front door opens into the open plan kitchen-dining-lounge area. Double French doors on either side of the wood burning stove lead out to the large deck offering a panoramic view of the garden and Jacaranda and Macadamia trees. The bedroom overlooks the garden through French windows and has a Queen bed, reverse-cycle air-conditioner, ceiling fan and an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. The hydrotherapy spa is on the fully enclosed and very private side deck and is for the exclusive use of the guests staying at Possums Retreat. * Enough wood for the cold winter nights is provided for the fireplace and there is also a reverse-cycle air-conditioner and ceiling fan in the living room. * We provide a delicious breakfast basket filled with local and home-made produce. From freshly baked bread, croissants and pastries to eggs from our chickens and fresh local seasonal fruit to milk and yoghurt from Maleny's award-winning dairy and cheese factory. * Our property is semi-rural and is not on town water or sewerage. Our water comes from rainwater tanks, and we have a wastewater treatment plant. The house has its own tank, and the water is perfectly safe to drink. * Pets are allowed and we charge a pet fee. As we are semi-rural and part of a wildlife corridor, the greater property is not fenced, and all dogs are to remain on lead at all times when on the grounds.
