Rooms were nice and clean, staff was lovely and very pleasant apart from one woman on reception with blonde hair called mel! so rude, so unprofessional and how she has a job on customer service is astonishing she needs to have some serious training she has no manners at all very rude, and as i am i customer service manager myself i do not know how anybody can employ someone with the behaviour she was showing to the public but other than that everything else was fine.

The most disgusting place I've ever stayed at! Photos are completely misleading! Our room stank, was dirty, mouldy, stains on bedding, walkways are rotting.. just an awful place. How its allowed to run in this state is beyond me!! Pool was scummy round the sides. We left after 1 night. Hotel aren't interested in any complaint! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

Had an amazing stay here just recently even got to meet many new people from different corners of the world here. Staff where amazing and welcoming. Very friendly and willing to meet your needs all you had to do is ask. And yea theirs where some ups and down regarding a altercation with a violent male assaulting security but this was quickly resolved and yes police did attend but everything was resolved quickly and quietly and the happy times went on and everyone enjoyed themselves and music levels at venue was acceptable and never past the 1am late licence. In a nut shell everywhere has ups and downs no place is ever good enough with today's society but as someone that has been to the worst and best I would say this is at the top of my list of best for friendliness,comfort,fun,convenience,helpfulness. The list goes on I will definitely be returning here even strongely considering moving to this location cause I've never felt so at peace here personally and even meet great new friends through it. This place is what I call a diamond in the rough slowly reaching its shinning glory. Now ofcourse don't take my word for it see for yourself and explore what it all has to offer and thank you for taking the time to read.

Where do I begin! Upon arrival of the severely dilapidated apartment, I had to go around and get rid of at least 20 spiders that had set up home in the bedrooms due to lack of cleaning. Beds extremely uncomfortable and the pillows are that old there's nothing to lay on. There's no arcades or machines for the kids to play on. Only a soft play that's for very small children and a couple of pool tables that you have to leave your bank card behind the bar to be able to use. The staff in the restaurant are extremely rude to the point we didn't want to go back in the following day to eat. There's nothing to do for kids on the park, no outdoor play area etc only a pool. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you're considering coming here ... trust me DONT!!!

Not as bad as the other reviews make out! I had sleepless nights on the lead up to our stay from the reviews I’d read after I’d booked our break. We had a sea view apartment which was a prime position overlooking both sides of Ilfracombe, stunning views of the bay. The apartment was clean, had toilet roll (no soap or shower gel) but I always take my own. In the kitchen there was washing up liquid, sponge scourer, jey cloth and kitchen roll and a tea towel so everything you need. The apartment was clean, only fault was just a voile curtain on the door which was see through and let the light in at 6am. Also the wooden steps up to the room were rotten and moved when you walked on them. (Very scary) We ate at the Monkey Puzzle twice and had a T-Bone steak for £17.95 what an amazing price and it tasted good. The staff in reception were welcoming and the girls behind the bar were very attentive as well as the chef’s.

Booked an apartment here as wanted to visit the area, but needed to keep it affordable. I was nervous beforehand because of the reviews but (thankfully), we were pleasantly surprised and have just returned home from an enjoyable stay. Contrary to others experience, we found our apartment to be clean and pleasant. When we first arrived, the bathroom light wouldn't come on, but within 10 minutes of visiting reception, maintenance had sorted this. Although a couple of signs of wear in places, the apartment had everything we needed, some furniture looked new e.g. sofas and we were easily able to fit our travel cot in the twin room. Other reviews have referenced that individuals may be being housed here. We only encountered others on holiday and we were not kept awake by music or noise during our stay. The staff, in particular, were a highlight of the stay. Particular mention to the reception staff and those working in the Monkey Puzzle (we ate here both evenings, so that the little ones had access to the soft play and dance floor). My boys loved meeting the kids club mascots and all the staff at the MP were so lovely with them. We also used the swimming pool both days, which was clean and lifeguard staff friendly. Maybe it's the luck of the draw with this place, but I'm glad I took the chance and would consider returning!

A lovely weekend break just what we needed, came away with a few friends. We booked a 2 bedroom superior apartment, we were lucky enough to have one with some fab views being on the top floor! The apartment was perfect for what we needed and plenty of parking. We got tickets to bingo loco on the Saturday night in their venue on site, it was such a laugh! I will definitely re visit and bring my family.

A great break away with the kids, the weather wasn't great as usual! The pool was a good distraction for the kids and the soft play/game room. We had a 2 bedroom standard apartment, it was clean and had a kitchen which helped. We had a middle apartment so had stairs to go up. The staff were so friendly, we had a few things missing out of the kitchen and they were so helpful and sorted it straight away. Would come back.

Stayed in a second floor apartment for the weekend. Very basic rooms, no hairdryer or baking trays / utensils considering it's a self catering holiday. The apartment wasn't the cleanest I've ever stayed in; dirty sofa, the carpet didn't even met the edge of the room!!! The shower was very grotty... The surprise on our final night was a bingo night at their venue - due to finish at 10:30pm. The loudness of the music and riotous shouting was unbearable whilst trying to get to sleep with a child. The music abd shouting continued for over an hour past the finale - with no venue staff on site to complain to. It really ruined the holiday and what was a wkend stay and looked good on the pictures was quite the opposite and huge huge disappointed. We shall be staying elsewhere in future.
