Charming Boutique Hotel! The only reason I have rated Service as Good is because our experience at the Lamp Hotel started off on the wrong foot, thanks to Cecelia behind the front desk. Our initial conversation with her was so awkward and rude, we just looked at each other shocked that she was so unprofessional:( She was so rude to us upon entering the hotel. We politely asked if we could try to check in early. She looked us up and down head to toe with such an off putting attitude and did not even reciprocate in conversation when we asked other questions. Another couple came into the lobby right after us, and she immediately shifted her conversation to them, leaving us standing there speechless, as she began a conversation with them in Swedish. We had arrived so tired, but so excited, as my friend had already stayed at The Lamp Hotel, and had filled me in on how great the hotel was. Cecelia was not warm or friendly to us from the get go, nor accommodating to even offer to take our luggage to store until check in. We had to ask her to do this for us, and my friend literally had to ask her her name about 2 times, before she would acknowledge her question or look in our direction as we asked her questions. We had just traveled 9 hours by flight from the US, and her attitude and personality was not welcoming in any way. We thought we had made a huge mistake booking at the Lamp because of her. We were so glad we did not have to see her again during our whole stay. She was terrible and needs training on empathy, people skills, and basic hospitality. She may not be the best option for behind the front desk as the first point of contact for your hotel. Now once we got past this terrible welcome, we enjoyed our stay so much. The hotel and rooms were gorgeous. The rest of the staff were lovely. The entire hotel is clean, sexy and wonderful! The location is wonderful, the lobby is so chic. The spa is GREAT. The bathrooms are spacious and lovely. I enjoyed my picture window, the tasteful decor and all little details. Housekeeping is PERFECTION. I did breakfast each morning and the kitchen and staff there are INCREDIBLE. They all deserve raises. They were hustling, serving, cleaning, and just a vision of unity and of how to run a kitchen:) The way they all worked and got on so well with each other, was so nice to see. Overall, besides our rude welcome thanks to Cecelia, I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and WOULD stay again. I plan to go back and stay with my husband when we visit Sweden later this year.

We stayed over the weekend and it was an amazing experience. We ordered a 4 course meal that the hotel’s restaurant and each dish was perfect, the breakfast was also wonderful and had everything you need. The hotel rooms are very clean and the staff was amazingly kind, they fulfilled all our wishes. The spa and massage was a calming and pleasant experience. Will definitely come back!

Very nice stay! Friendly staff that are helpful if needed. Good food. There was a fresh breakfast buffet with homemade items, as well as an excellent dinner menu. The spa area is very relaxing, and the massage was a great addition to the entire experience.

Einer der besten Hotels auf meiner Reise durch Schweden. Zimmer sensationell, Frühstück 1a und das Gym mit neuesten Geräten ausgestattet. Einfach Klasse dieses Hotel. Parkplätze sind auch vorhanden Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit.

Just saw the review that says don’t go on a Sunday. This is very true! Staff member on reception didn’t seem overly happy to welcome new guests. Was asked to leave the hotel outdoor area at 955pm after eating dinner there and told the only place we could finish our bottle of wine was in our room or on the street! 3 star experience at best!

Had a lovely stay at The Lamp Hotel for two nights during a friend’s wedding. A short walk from the train station, really comfortable and well equipped rooms, and the staff were without exception professional and helpful. Great breakfast too! Highly recommended.

Dit hotel was een van de beste in jaren waar ik verbleven ben. Een heel warm ontvangst, en een zeer persooniijke benadering van het personeel. De kamers zijn zeer comfortabel met een super goed bed. Het leukste vond ik toch wel de unieke menukaart in het restaurant, met superlekkere gerechtjes (klen en groot). En bij het ontbijt wordt je verrast op vers eigen gebakken brood. Zeer aanbevolen hotel.

The hotel should be classified as adult hotel as the pool , gym and hotel premises cannot be enjoyed by people who are younger than 16. Quite expensive hotel , we booked for Easter holiday for teenagers to enjoy the pool by paying quite high price but as we arrived we learned the 16 years old age restriction.. -7 degrees outside.. and just sit down in the hotel room. Breakfast was too poor.. so overall price quality balance was way too disappointing. Adults may enjoy spa by paying extra fee .Even for the pool hotel guests need to pay extra fee .. which was quite strange and extraordinary ..

Wonderful hotel! Amazing staff, cocktails and food (in both restaurants)! The spa was amazing, relaxing and clean. Everything was perfect. The hotels location is placed in the center, everything is close by. I will come back again to The Lamp Hotel!
