Holiday Inn Bloomington - Normal

The staff was friendly, professional and responsive to all my needs and concerns. Some of the rooms had maintenance issues, but the staff did their best to address the concerns. I did not like the shared sliding door for the closet and bathroom.

great place to stay great personal working here, clean facilities, very clean rooms. The facilities are being upgraded outside right now and are looking very nice. Emilly and Donna were very helpful with getting me set up with a meeting room.

This establishment is an excellent place to stay. I stay at Holiday Inn on an average of 4-5 nights a week. Here you will find a very clean hotel. When I walked in the door I was greeted by a very friendly front desk staff named Marsha wonderful lady!! I got to my room and it was never and even smelled good!! lol!! That even I went down to the bar area to do some paperwork and have a drink and eat supper. The bartender was helping another guest the cook brought some other guests food out and then came over to greet me and gave me a menu a few seconds later Jackie the bartender come over to help. I asked her if we could watch the football and she told me they couldn’t get it. She said I could try myself and even helped out as well. The service was amazing. The main reason for this review is that from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out it was 1st class service. These days there is very little customer service and everyone’s excuse is it’s not my job or problem!! Also I have stayed here a half a dozen times and always a great experience.

This hotel is simply the best in so many ways! From the moment you walk in the front door you feel like you are at your second home. The front desk staff welcomes you and answers any questions. Rooms are spacious and beds are simply the best - so comfy! The bar service and food is excellent and fast! Lots of room for casual conversation and enjoying sports on the TVs. The meeting rooms are full service with AV, setups of tables and other equipment, and they fulfill every request. Every meal the group ate in the meeting function was outstanding - hot, delicious, and tastes homemade. Everyone is kind and friendly. Free parking, easy access off I-55 and close to shopping in Bloomington Normal. You won't be sorry you booked a stay here! Enjoy :)

I almost rated it as poor, but it's very clean and the staff are very nice (though I've never seen front desk staff sitting like they do here). The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room is very spacious, but the bathroom is teeny tiny - no where to put your toothbrush! And it's dark. So very very dark. There isn't enough lighting. Usually there is a floor lamp in a hotel room, but this hotel does not have those. All of us at the conference were talking about how dark the room is, and the bathroom is teeny tiny and also too dark. It is beyond frustrating to get ready in the morning without light. If you need an accessible room, ask if they have one because there is no way a walker or a wheelchair will fit in the room doorway or into the bathroom. The conference area was spacious and served this conference well. Meeting rooms were FREEZING, but it's usually like that at a conference. The meals served during the conference were good. The bar and common areas have zero atmosphere. Very bland decor, no scents, no music, just blah. No coffee spot. And the location sucks. It's back behind a couple other seedy looking hotels... not close to anywhere. It was a hot dirty mess when we were there because of construction. Sorry I can't give a better review.

Was here for a business conference. That all went great, everything was ready and food was good. If you go the the hotel bar it was a little slow and they kept trying to charge people for other peoples drinks. Under construction but disruption was minimal.

Very welcoming staff and efficient service. We had a great time. Looking forward to coming again. Taco bar was convenient, breakfast buffet was limited but excellent. The only nusiance has been writing this review to 200 characters. Is it enough yet?

I was very happy with the friendly staff. The meals were great. I was disappointed in the bathtub in the room. It is so close to the wall that it was very difficult for me to maneuver getting in and out (I am not a shower person as I have so many feet issues that is difficult as well.) I didn't request a handicap room as there are so many people who are in much more of a need. All in all...it was very nice. Thank you!

The hotel is old and needs upgrades. In addition our meeting had been scheduled 1+ years. The hotel was understaffed. There were long waits in dining room. The staff seemed mediocre and uninformed. There was few if any attempts to accommodate the handicapped attendees.
