XLyngen

It is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have visited during my travels, and yet it is simple but of great elegance, with an extraordinary landscape that can be seen through the window! The food is delicious, of very high quality, and the chef is so kind and attentive, and she has a team as great as she is!! Thank you very much, I hope to be back very soon!! Wir haben eine Woche in Lyngen verbracht. Wir hatten zwar Pech mit dem Wetter (es war viel zu warm für die Jahreszeit und kaum Schnee), aber die Zeit war trotzdem schön. Es ist ein familiengeführtes Unternehmen und alle waren ausgesprochen gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Man hat uns gute Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben und uns auch mal mit dem Auto zu einem Ausflugsziel gefahren und auch abgeholt. Frühstück war reichlich vorhanden. Das 3-Gänge Menü am Abend war exzellent. Tolle Küche! Vor allem der Fisch war fangfrisch und exzellent zubereitet. Die Sauna darf man täglich nutzen. Für die Nutzung des Jacuzzi muss man extra zahlen. Schneeschuhe, Wanderstöcke und Spikes konnten wir uns ausleihen. Wir hatten ein Fischerhaus für 3 Personen gebucht. Daher hatten wir wirklich gut Platz für alle. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist tatsächlich der Stauraum für Kleidung in der Hütte. Es gab neben jedem Bett einen kleinen Nachttisch mit 3 Schubladen. Wenn das Haus mit 6 Personen belegt gewesen wäre, wäre es ungemütlich geworden. So haben wir unsere Sachen auf das jeweilige freie Bett gelegt. Aber das hat unsere Zeit nicht beeinträchtigt Gegend ist wunderschön! Ich kann die Unterkunft nur empfehlen!

Booked a snowmobile safari with this organization. Everything has to go quickly here due to a tight schedule regarding the ferry. (Maybe take the ferry back an hour later?) The ride to Xlyngen is very fast and brutal. The time to change is hectic and short. No extra gloves were given, no headscarf to wear under a helmet. And this while it is very cold and windy above. There were quite a few problems in our group. Defect scooter for another couple. Rear-end collision with us. And a guide who brutally drove backwards, causing oil to leak from the scooter that had been hit. You saw the nervousness increase among the guides, partly due to the limited time. When we arrived back at XLyngen, a fish soup was quickly offered. Looked delicious, but we couldn't taste it because the boss came to take us and another couple (unjustly) out of the restaurant in a rude manner because of the minor collision. After a lot of one-sided shouting and threats from the boss, we paid NOK 2000 for minor damage to the scooter. Keep in mind that something like this happened quickly and there is no insurance that covers minor damage. You stand with your back against the wall, you cannot respond and you have to pay whatever amount they suddenly come up with. They put a random amount on it themselves. The boss threatened us with higher costs and that we could return on foot if we did not pay. We went back home with a very bad feeling, an empty wallet and an empty stomach. No more XLynging for us.

Traumhaft gelegene kleine Anlage bestehend aus fünf Fischerhütten und zwei Appartements, direkt am Fjord, mit Sauna und Jacuzzi. Die Hütten sind zweckmäßig, aber sehr gemütlich, es fehlt an nichts. Wir haben ein vier Tages Komplett-Paket gebucht, mit verschiedenen Aktivitäten. Polarlichter, Schneeschuhwandern, Schneemobiltour und Husky Schlittentour und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Es ist, als würde man in eine komplett andere Welt eintauchen! Inmitten der traumhaften Bergkulisse erlebt man nicht nur die wunderbare Natur in all ihrer facettenreichen Schönheit, sondern auch herausragende Gastfreundlichkeit. Das XLyngen ist familiär geführt und selten haben wir so freundliche Gastgeber erlebt. Das Essen (wir hatten Vollpension) ist hervorragend und die Herzlichkeit, mit der man hier empfangen und umsorgt wird, sucht ihresgleichen. Das Restaurant ist frisch renoviert und außergewöhnlich "hygge" eingerichtet. Die Tourguides sind unfassbar freundlich und kümmern sich rührend. Wir können jedem, der auf der Suche nach einem außergewöhnlichen Ziel am gefühlten Ende der Welt ist, das XLyngen nur empfehlen. Die Erinnerungen, die man hier sammelt, zusammen mit totaler Entschleunigung und Ruhe, werden für immer bleiben und uns noch oft an die wunderschöne Zeit hier erinnern.
