El resort está en un lugar privilegiado, justo al lado del río y con magníficas vistas a la montaña. Los bungalows son cómodos y la atención, tanto de su dueño (Sebastián) como de su ayudante (Kenny) me fueron de mucha ayuda para organizar excursiones, traslados, etc. El restaurante ofrece platos de calidad

Really relaxed atmosphere. Stayed there for 2 nights. This is a small family owned hotel with the entire family ( European/Lao) engaged in the running of the hotel. High standards and excellent Lao/Thai food with International options . The pool is small but very welcome and they do great cocktails !!! Not based in the absolute centre of the town , which is a good thing as the centre can be a bit noisy , about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the bridge and the river, a visit to the former cave complexes is very easy from there . Tuk Tuks are also easily rented if you don't fancy the walk .There are also all kinds of river expeditions and village visits available from tourist offices . You get the sense that the family would happily help you to arrange anything you wanted to do . Good wifi . We stayed at some higher end places in our trip but this is one that we enjoyed most .

Heerlijke plek in Nong Khiaw om trips te maken en dan bij terugkomst met een drankje aan het zwembad de avond te zien vallen. Mooie locatie bij de rivier, gratis fietsen om naar het centrum te fietsen. Het eten is uitstekend, goed ontbijtbuffet, buiten terras, heel gezellig en de service is uiterst vriendelijk en dik in orde.

Da Mandala Ou ist ein kleines, toll gelegenes Ressort, wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den bezaubernden Nam Ou. Eine wunderschöne Aussicht, perfekt um zu entspannen. Die Betreuung durch Sebastian war sehr herzlich und umsichtig, das Essen war recht gut. Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt wäre, dass die Zimmer etwas mehr Pflege erfahren sollten, besonders das Bad. Dennoch hat das Gesamtpaket super gestimmt und wir haben uns alles in allem wirklich wohl gefühlt.

We had a two night stay here while touring Lao. It was one of the simpler hotels on this tour. Our expectations were not great. However, it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The room was basic, to be sure, but adequate. We had a really nice terrace. The bar area was nice and Sebastian was welcoming and helpful. Food was really good in the evenings, we ate there both nights, but breakfast was a little disappointing. We had a good time there.

Une adresse incontournable ! Je recommande cet endroit : un site enchanteur, un hôtel de charme au bord de la rivière et à quelques minutes à pied du village, une cuisine délicieuse à petits prix, un lieu décoré avec goût et un propriétaire professionnel et chaleureux qui parle plusieurs langues et se plie en quatre pour vous accueillir. C’est un petit coin de paradis où on se sent invités chez des amis. J’ai adoré !

Die Anlage hat eine tolle Lage direkt am Fluss und die Aussicht ist extrem schön! Ohne sie von Innen gesehen zu haben, möchte ich aber unbedingt die Bungalows mit Flussblick empfehlen, da diese einen Balkon haben und sicher eine bessere Ausrichtung. Bei den Gartenbungalows fehlt einfach die Privatsphäre, da alle Gäste an den eigenen Fenstern vorbeigehen müssen und man keinen eigenen Außenbereich hat. Die Ausstattung ist sehr einfach gehalten und hätte aus meiner Sicht besser gepflegt werden müssen. Der Innenraum ist schlecht beleuchtet und bietet keine Möglichkeit zu sitzen (außer "Schreibtischstuhl"). Sehr schlecht gelöst ist das Badezimmer, da der Raum keine richtige Trennung zum Hauptraum hat und man dadurch keine Intimsphäre erreicht, wenn man zu Zweit reist. Da es in den Gartenbungalows keinen eigenen Außenbereich hat, gibt es auch keine gute "Ausweichfläche". Die Matratze ist recht fest, was aber offenbar Standard in Asien ist. Leider fehlt die Möglichkeit, über Nacht ein Fenster zu öffnen, der vorhandene Ventilator in der Außenwand ist viel zu laut, um dabei schlafen zu können. Der Pool ist wirklich sehr schön und der Platz dort bietet, wie auch die hübsche Bar, einen traumhaften Ausblick auf den Fluss und das tolle Bergpanorama. Auch im Restaurantbereich sitzt man sehr schön und hat diesen sensationellen Ausblick! Das Essen/Frühstück ist gut und der Service sehr angenehm. Da der Bereich Außen ist, muss man sich - je nach Jahreszeit - eine warme Jacke überziehen, was aber völlig in Ordnung ist. Es gibt außerdem einen tollen Wäscheservice, der die Reinigung der Kleidung für einen günstigen Preis anbietet.

Small resort, resembles an eco lodge. Staff super friendly, make you feel at home. They employ locals and use local products. We ate one evening meal here which was fantastic, amazing quality of food and big portion sizes. Breakfast was also nice. Added bonus of free purified water station in reception which you could refill your bottles at any time. Great location for exploring Nong Khiaw , lots of places to hike.

Comfortable resort in a beautiful location overlooking the river. Our welcome could not have been warmer and our hosts went out of their way to help us throughout our stay. Lovely terrace restaurant and bar, serving excellent food. Free bike hire and the guidance on which of the view points to tackle (and when) were greatly appreciated.
