"My husband and I stayed at Casa do Zuleiro for 3 nights for a wedding in Galicia, and it was absolute perfection! First, the owners are so kind and welcoming. Despite a bit of a language barrier (I should have stuck with Duolingo), they made us feel right at home. They offered to make us dinner and also suggested nearby restaurants. The location in Galicia is quite convenient, though you absolutely need to rent a car to stay here. Casa do Zuleiro isn't necessary in a town, but rather it's located among a small cluster of homes. It's about 15 minutes from Noia and 30 min from Santiago de Compostela...close enough where you still feel connected but far enough removed where you feel you're out in the country. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the beautiful property. It's cozy, peaceful, and extremely charming. It's authentically old-world, yet it's obvious that it's well maintained. Also, our room was quite large and had everything we needed. We loved sleeping with the windows open and waking to the distance sound of a rooster. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in the Spanish countryside, this is your place!"
