Excellent location, comfortable rooms and beds, good food, friendly staff. Six minutes drive from Crocodile Bridge Gate into Kruger National Park

Thank you for an enjoyable stay. The reception lady was an absolute gem. She went out of her way to accommodate us and made us feel valued. The waiters were fast, curious, friendly and assisted with our every request. We will definitely come again.

Well situated lodge on the banks of the Crocodile River. Easy and quick entry into Kruger. Check in was quick and efficient- but for a 5 star resort at least offer your guests a cold drink or towel especially that you drove for over 3 hours. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Aircon’s work well. The food was good although there could be more variety. The staff are friendly. The spa and massages were ok- not quite 5 star , but reasonable. The early morning game drive was great. But the packed breakfast definitely needs improvement. Rather set out the different items and let guests choose what they want to take with them on the game drive. Also the ranger taking with a flask of coffee will be great rather than serving coffee so early in the foyer.

What a luxurious experience. From the friendly staff to the incredibly comfy bed. The food was a culinary delight and the portions were so satisfying. Would definitely recommend. It's not easy to find halaal fine dining but here it is on the banks of the crocodile River

Beautiful lodge in a beautifully quiet and serene location. We enjoyed watching and listening to the wildlife during the day. Dinner waiter service could have been better - we were not offered a drink and had to ask after the first course, we were given the bill before we had been offered the dessert menu, The starter and desserts were delicious. The main courses a little disappointing, chips were very greasy and over-cooked, beef curry was exceptionally dry and hence stodgy. We were told the restaurant closed at 9:30pm and needed to have ordered by 8:00pm which was fine. At 9:30pm a party of about 8 adults and a small child arrived to eat a pre-ordered meal. Unfortunately they continued to make a lot of noise and kick a football about for several hours while we were tring to sleep in room 2. It was disrespectful to all the guests who were staying and had to endure their partying. Breakfast was very good. Overall I would recommend this hotel and consider staying again. We were just unlucky with the other guests who were staying that night. However, I would have thought the owners would not have allowed the party to have gone on late into the night especially when people are getting up at 5:00am to go into Kruger.

Exception location - excellent service Buckler's Lodge is located right along the Crocodile River. We saw large herds of elephants each day we were there. We received excellent service from the staff and enjoyed clean and roomy accomodations.
