It was my favorite top place for many years enjoying Lake Malawi, but now they installed a loud speaker system on the beach polluting the whole lodge with terribly loud bum bum bum day and night until 10 pm, even in the last room no 15 there was no chance to find sleep. Talking to the management proved unsuccessful. Also nobody cares about getting supplies. If you want to order from the menu, you will be told no Greek salad, no vegetable paella, no tagliatelle, no zucchini, no t-bone, no pork chops, no goat stew, no ice cream no red wine by glass, not even tonic water, just to mention a few missing items, three days in a row. I strongly recommend not visiting Sunbird Chintheche unless you enjoy loud music noise throughout and don’t care about the menu diversity and you don’t want to enjoy a gin tonic.

Great stay overall, but small bathroom and bar should be separate from restaurant. The man on the reception was excellent and very helpful.

I went with my two daughters. This was the first time i travelled with kids alone for a holiday. Our stay at Sunbird Chintheche was truly amazing. The staff were awesome and they made us feel at home. I loved how quiet and peaceful it was was. Perfect for relaxing. The beach was absolutely stunning, the kids enjoyed every moment by the lake. A calm, beautiful escape that we'd definitely return to!!

I visited SUNBIRD chintheche for Christmas Holliday. Its a quiet place with friendly people. Clean water. Fresh air and alot of nature to interact with. A nice place to take pics n vids. My heart remains at sunbird chintheche

The hotel has comfortable rooms for family stay - nice twin beds for kids and a double bed for the couple . Both have excellent beddings and pillows . Just need to improve on bathroom towels, need a replacement with new ones befitting a hotel . Overall, excellent services !

it's a quiet and beautiful place, the rooms are simple but beautiful with the balconies facing the lake. they have good food and not forgetting the kayak boat ride.

Chintheche Inn is an excellent holiday destination. Quite and scenery place. Good place take your mind off the busy schedules and relax while receiving top notch service from their experienced staff.

The most friendly staff we have experienced in our travels. Confirmed the saying that a smile goes a long way. Here we felt at home and any concerns we had were addressed immediately. The room was nice, clean and spacious with a direct view of Lake Malawi. The food was great and they went a long way to accomodate us. We extended our stay to 3 nights and greatly enjoyed our stay.
