Ngorongoro Wild Camps

We went there in July 2024. Initially we were supposed to go to the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge but unfortunately when we showed up they didn't have our reservation because our tour operator hadn't done their job well. So we had to fall back on the Ngorongogo Wildcamp which is much further away. In fact it's really in a very isolated place far from everything. When we arrived it still seemed like a beautiful place and we had a villa and not a tent. The room was beautiful, big and clean. The wifi worked well. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure was good for the shower. We were lucky enough to see some zebras up close which was nice. On the other hand, the choices in the restaurant were very very limited and the quality was just mediocre. In addition, before leaving in the morning we had prepared a very basic lunch box and we couldn't choose anything because the boxes were already made and it was very ordinary. This is probably the place we liked the least during our safaris because of the quality of the food on offer and the location.

We stayed as part of our Kenya, Tanzania tour through Perfect Wilderness Safaris. It was a memorable stay. The tent had 2 double beds with a big balcony and a good bathroom. It is located in a scenic area. The staff was good, and I would like to stay there again.

Staff atenciosa, quartos limpos e muito confortáveis, o acampamento conta com quartos bem privados e confortáveis. A variedade do jantar é restrita, mas para o fim de 1 noite que ficamos, foi mais do que suficiente. O hotel fica a poucos quilômetros do Ngorongoro Crater, próximo às vilas com a comunidade local (Masaii). Algumas zebras adentram o acampamento a noite e foi bem legal ter o contato com os animais tão de perto.

We had an absolutely fantastic time - all the staff were brilliant, and took really good care of us. The facilities were outstanding, the food was first class, and the service was exactly what you would expect from a 5-star resort. I definitely will recommend Ngorongoro Wild Camp for friends and family!

It was an incredible experience from start to finish. The camps were excellent and spotlessly clean. The bed was large and comfortable, surrounded by mosquito nets. The room was spacious, with a dressing mirror, and the bathroom was big with hot and cold water. The verandah in front of the camp offered a breathtaking view of the jungle surroundings. There was nothing to fault about this place. The food was delicious, and the staff were amiable and helpful. Some fellow travelers even spotted giraffes munching on leaves near their camp. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend this camp.

We stayed at the lodges and had a great view of the valley together with some very friendly zebras. Rooms were good with nice hot showers. However no shampoo or soap was provided in either bathroom and similarly no bottled water in the rooms. Didn't feel that we needed the hotel staff to come to the rooms once to ask if we wanted drinks and next to ask about massages within 15 minutes of arriving, this could have been covered in the welcome and seemed a bit of an over sell but it might just have been us being tired after the day. It was another place where we weren't supposed to walk on our own in the dark but one time we weren't able to get the staffs attention so we did just walk up without any animals jumping out on us.
