The Glenview Hotel & Leisure Club

Lovely hotel and grounds and staff were very friendly. Lovely food .

WARNING It’s not what it says on the tin, or at least, it’s not what it says on the website! I booked a 2night stay with breakfast and dinner package. Highlighted at the top of the booking screen there was a message stating “Dinner included for all nights” but when we arrived the receptionist said that only one dinner was included as was shown in the small print on the booking confirmation. He was totally disinterested in the screen shot I had taken showing the message but offered to get his manager to speak with me. She told me that the message “Dinner included for all nights” was a mistake and that we had only one dinner included. Rather than offering anything to immediately resolve the issue, she said she would be in touch with an offer for our next visit! Our room was adequately furnished (no usb charging ports available (and none at reception either), by the way) but could have done with a little tlc (replace the torn curtains, for instance?). On the plus side, the restaurant staff were really friendly and very helpful and the food was excellent. The freshly prepared breakfasts are definitely worth waiting for!

Once we had upgraded to the balcony room, then the accommodation was decent. Breakfast was very nice, and cooked to order, but serving staff were at full stretch! Wouldn't get too excited by the conservatory bar food, great restaurants in nearby Greystones. Pool full of exercising classes.

A lovely stay made all the better with a lovely receptionist Johann..who went out of his way to make our stay special, above and beyond..the views are so beautiful from the front of the hotel..idyllic..rooms are clean and comfortable..will definitely return

We escaped to the Glenview for a night and it was totally worth it, such a lovely spot weather was cold but dry and we got to enjoy all the nearby outdoor walks, the room was fabulous quiet and very well supplied with all we needed. Food was lovely, but what made it really special was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff true hospitality which is hard to find these days and was great appreciated the Glenview should be very proud of their staff.
