St Breca

The host Nick was friendly, accommodating, welcoming and helpful. Slept well in very comfy bed. Breakfast was a good start to the day. A great billet for us. I am happy to have stayed at St Breca and will defo return. The venue is central and provides easy access to Newquay resources.

3rd visit for us over years wouldn't stay anywhere else in Newquay clean welcoming lovely people run it my favourite guest house ever always leave satisfied comfortable beds great parking facilities all round brilliant holiday made special by nick Charlotte and gary

Nick and his family were amazing, so helpful, so friendly, spotless accommodation, great location, really went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable, will definitely be back, highly recommend, Nick turned a very stressful holiday right around for us, greatly appreciated, thank you 😀

This place had good reviews so when we arrived we were really disappointed. I hope the following is balanced, the owners may ask why we didn’t feedback when there as this is what they have replied to a previous reviewer, the reason is because I didn’t feel comfortable to and the defensive way you reply to what appears to be fair criticism led me to bypass the usual face to face approach I would take. I was also concerned as it’s a small family business and did not want the rest of our stay to be awkward. I did not believe our complaints could be recognized in the time we were there. Pros Close to town, some free parking if you get there first, very friendly owner who couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome. Cons Dirty towels in bathroom, no soap, hostel like appearance, not fresh bedding upon arrival, stained carpets, rusty handles, coffee stained?? Walls, thick dust in radiator handles, thick dust on kettle lid which I cleaned, thin walls, no available parking for most of our time there, very old furniture which was dirty. Really sad to write this as the guy was very nice but you can not charge such an extortionate amount and not provide a clean and sanitary place to sleep.

We a family of 5 had a brilliant 7 night stay in the family room at st brecca, From the 1st minute to the last the hosts Nick and Gary were amazing. As we had never been to Cornwall Nick was very helpful and informative about places to visit, eat, drink etc. Everywhere was spotless, breakfast was excellent and they really can't do enough for you. Location also perfect. Would definitely stay again and recommend 100%. Thanks for a great week Jason and Jamie

Excellent location, not only in Newquay, but also to visit other parts of the county. Although, the guesthouse has limited parking, it is located a few minutes walks from two council car parks. Nick, Charlotte & Garry (with his dry wit) are amazing hosts and are genuinely interested to talk their guests. The breakfast was really good and watching Stephen the seagull was an added bonus!
