One of our favourite regular haunts. This is a real haven in Newquay with a calm and friendly atmosphere. Family friendly but also great for a coffee, lunch or dinner with friends. Delicious food and a great range of drinks, would highly recommend the platters as well as the fantastic cocktails. They also have live music nights and delicious cakes, what's not to like!

My family and I came here today after noticing a sign on Newquay High Street saying ‘Pet Friendly’ as we had our dog with us. It was so busy on the High Street that we went to check it out and I’m so glad we did. We didn’t even get in the place and a lovely chap came and fussed our dog (who isn’t small and is quite a large bulldog) just outside and he was really chatty to our 3 young kids. Not sure if he was a staff member or owner but he was a really nice guy and made us all feel very welcome. We ordered some food which was delicious and all the staff in there were friendly and talkative. The range of alcohol was really nice as they had their own and supported local beers. It had a really chilled out and nice vibe to it. Without a doubt we’d return and we’d definitely recommend the place to anyone else. Thank you.

My Rockall team mate and I were looking for a quiet refreshment away from Central Newquay and we stumbled fortuitously on SELKIES. We heard the music and saw the frontage. When we went it - it was the best pub we have ever been in. Staff were welcoming, interested in us, polite and helpful. Steve, the Boss, came to speak to us and we had a great chat for half an hour. Nobby and I have never experienced that in any place in our lives. Truly awesome place and cracking team. We didn't want to leave. We are in two minds about telling anyone else about this place as it is the best pub in the world. Thanks Steve and the team. You have done an amazing job. Amazing place.

Just visited Selkies with my family and dog....what a lovely atmosphere with games for kids and it's dog friendly 😉 great coffee amazing cake and in my 10year old daughters words "the best hot chocolate ever" (and believe me,she's tried quite a few🤣) with hot milk, actual melted chocolate, marshmallows and cream all wonderfully presented on a wooden board....think we'll be heading back before the end of our holiday👍👍

My wife and I popped in here for a few drinks and a snack wanting to get away from the very busy high street for a bit. This place was perfect, it’s a really pleasant place to just sit and relax for a while, I had the scotch egg and my wife had the sausage role. Both were cooked beautifully and served really nicely. We had a cocktail each which were also really good and all in all it wasn’t expensive at under £25. It is well worth the 1 minute walk off the high street

From the moment we walked in it felt like we were amongst friends. The food was fabulous, tasty and made with love and we finished it off with fresh local cider, couldn't recommend Selkies in Newquay highly enough, so when you're looking for something different and in particular shared platters give Selkies a go you won't be disappointed.
