The hotel provides a safe environment coupled with exceptionally comfortable rooms. While some of the utilities and facilities may not be flawless, they are adequately functional for a pleasant stay.

Absolute bargain stay, host was very welcoming and extremely kind. Room was lovely aswell, has everything you need and clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend and will stay again myself if in the area

After having stayed here many years ago, we decided to try it again this year. We were pleasantly surprised. Our room was small, but clean and pleasant. The double bed was a bit on the small side, but adequate. We had a small fridge, which was nice, and they supplied one water bottle on arrival. The bathroom had a good shower, but it would have been nice with a bath mat. Kevin was always around, and ready to help if we had any questions. The continental breakfast (only included in the price if you book direct) was all we needed in the morning. Cereal, toast and scrambled egg, jam, ham, cheese, yogurt and some fruit, juice, tea and coffee The guesthouse is very central to Newcastle-under-Lyme, which was important to us. We have already booked our next visit, and look forward to stay there again.

I would honestly recommend the Clayhanger guest house, The room was very nice with a wonderful comfortable bed, All that you need supplied to make a drink, Also a bottle of mineral which was very nice, I couldn't believe it when I closed the door and there was a dressing gown for me to use, I had a problem Thursday night by leaving my phone in a taxi, Kevin the propierter did everything possible so I could retrieve my phone, He kept ringing Uber through the night to see if the driver had found my phone. Thanks to Kevin the day after the taxi driver brought my phone back to the Clayhanger Guest house. Kevin you are a stay and if I am ever in the area again to watch a show I will definitely stay at The Clayhanger. Steve

Kevin and his team were so lovely and accommodating, very attentive and provided a great atmosphere. The room was nice and clean, perfect for our purposes! There was a great breakfast spread too, with Kevin making scrambled eggs on toast, plus fruit, cereal, yoghurt, tea and coffee (top tip: book through their own website for the free brekkie!)

Excellent. I cannot thank Kevin & the team enough. I found myself needing accommodation very last minute due to my partner having an serious accident and needing spinal surgery at the Stoke Royal. Kevin went above and beyond to accommodate me for a week due to me not being from the area and needing to stay close to the hospital. Rooms clean, they have everything you need, beds comfy, lovely little place, great value for money. Really welcoming and friendly.
