The New Mill Apartments

Not as the photographs The pictures do not repreresent the apartment that we were given. The apartment was tired and well worn. On checking in we were told that one of the shower doors was broken and that someone was on their way to rectify it. Nobody arrived. There was three showers but they are in the same room. The apartment wasn't particularly clean although the bed linen was.

Nice apartment The area is a bit sketchy but the apartment was lovely, clean, ideal for us (couple with a child) for a weekend visit.

Short break for football We had appartment 5 on top floor very clean no drunks or noise so lovely pleasant stay. Bigger than we thought with full size kitchen and bathroom and 2 good size bedrooms with plenty of storage for cloths etc . Supermarket for all you goods less than 100 mts away and shops outside entrance door and less than 20 mins walk to st James park

We were working in the area, easy public transport into centre asda literally 2minutes walk away, property was very clean and tidy and any questions were answered straight away . Ideal for what we needed, will definitely be staying again

I stayed here with a young child & I really would not recommend I wish I had of done my research a little bit better. It is a very run down area, rubbish everywhere and outside the apartments. The apartment is beside some sort of restaurant so there is a lingering smell also the noise at night is very loud and disturbing, my son was awakened from his sleep due to this, not sure if it was the restaurant but there was constant doors slamming and loud noises of what sounded like dishes. I felt very uneasy & unsafe around this area my little son was approached by random men looking high fives etc one man even kissed him on the head!l I felt like we where being constantly approached. I had my whereabouts & could not let my guard down at all, it spooked me a bit. I felt constant stares from men I just really did not feel comfortable in this area. On a positive note- the lady cleaner was lovely and helpful, the apartment is clean & isn’t too bad. It’s more the issue where the apartment is situated at.
