Such a disappointment. Arrived at the Swan to find there was no car parking as the Christmas Fair they were hosting was in full swing. Cars everywhere! Managed to get parked on a banking. We were not forewarned that their Christmas Fair was on. Check in was very chaotic as there were people everywhere. We checked in but we’re pinned in our room as there was absolutely nowhere to sit and enjoy a drink. We had to go out of the hotel to a local pub we knew. We were booked in for evening meal. Thank goodness as we knew at least we could eat. Again, the food was highly priced but not good at all. We did complain and it was handled very well. Breakfast again was chaotic, queued for the toaster for it to break once I had got to the front !! Juices had run out. Returned to our table, tried to order toast but was sent back to queue as it seemed to be fixed, also the juice had been refilled. A lady at the table next to us was eating her cereal with a fork as there were no spoons. We had booked in for a spa experience in the afternoon which we were looking forward to. Oh my goodness, once through the doors was again packed!! No beds, chairs available. Myself and my daughter left in dismay. We checked out about half an hour later (we were booked for a 2 night stay) and went to stay at a beautiful hotel just around the corner and had an amazing experience.

The spa is amazing! We came for a spa day and I was very pleased with all of the facilities. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and the massage therapist was fantastic. Everything was very clean and the changing rooms were equipped with lovely products to use along with hair dryers and straighteners. The temple spa products are so luxurious and I also received a voucher for money off the products after my treatment. We then had afternoon tea in the restaurant area which was beautiful, the service was fantastic and food was excellent.

The location of the swan was very tranquil. We stayed in the 'Lovely loft' which was comfortable and relaxing especially with the bath in the bedroom. The spa was great too. Unfortunately the service wasn't the best during breakfast and tea which was a slight let down!

We booked the Autumn Dreams Spa Retreat and had a fantastic time. The facilities were clean, the staff were so friendly and helpful, and it wasn’t crowded at all, which made it really relaxing. A great experience overall – would definitely recommend and visit again!

We stayed in a suite and it was so comfy. The room was cosy with views over the river . The bathroom with its gorgeous copper bath was huge. We used the Holte Spa and it was amazing. We also used the hotel pool/gym and that was lovely . Breakfast on the first day was very busy and that meant service was slow . The next day we went earlier and it was great. The food was lovely .

Spa treatment and thermal journey where really good. Therapists where really nice. Pub lunch was good, but poorly explained as part of the spa day package. Was charged for the prosecco that was meant to be free with the spa package. Service was also very slow in the pub. Wanted a dessert but no1 came to clear plates to order 1 and was running out oc time before thermal journey time slot.

Went for the Christmas markets 2024, good selection of stalls, staff were lovely and friendly and the decor was stunning! Will definitely be returning next year for them! Will be visiting more often for the lovely Sunday lunch we saw being served!

Brilliant stay at such a lovely hotel. The rooms are very spacious and comfy. This weekend stay was a child free weekend for us, but we are that impressed we plan to return in the future with our daughter to enjoy the stay as a family. We visited in November so there were Christmas markets set up on the first floor, which were a great surprise and really got us in the Christmas spirit. We ate at the Swan Inn during our stay, being vegetarian, we would recommend highly recommend the food here.

A lovely family hotel. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel was dressed for Christmas with a perfect feel. It was very busy, however we didn’t have to wait long for food and costumer service was still 10/10 Also excellent value for money.
