The Keadeen Hotel

Stayed here on a wedding anniversary having been here for my wedding 40 years before. The greeting at reception was perfunctory and I was given my key and vague directions as to how to get to the room. No explanation of facilities or evn a query about my journey. The room was large and comfortable but the TV had about 4 channels that worked. Bathroom had all the usuals. We had booked dinner in the restaurant only to find that the menu was the same as the bar menu. The restaurant was really only an overflow for the bar. The menu was very disappointing. To be fair to the lady in charge she explained they were working on changing things in future and did comp us a couple of drinks which was nice. When I came to get the bill I wanted to add it to my room but couldn't as I had not registered my credit card. It never occurred to me at the time but this was the first time I was never asked for this when checking in. It also meant when I went to the bar I had to pay for drinks each time I oredred. Breakfast next morning was adequate though there seemed to be a shortage of staff as we were not asked for room number nor shown to a table, we just wandered in. On checking out it was again perfunctory and the receptionist didn't even ask how our stay was. Another first. I shall not return

Very comfortable hotel and good gym

Great breakfast, clean, quiet, priced great Checked in on a Thursday night, night shift Lady was awesome, room was older style but extremely clean, quiet, comfortable bed. The place is going through a remodel so I'm sure things will change a little. Free parking, breakfast was included and was great tasting, continental and hot. 2 gas station food places within walking distance. If you need something to eat quickly. There is a great bar and also across from it an enormous seating room with lounge chairs that you would see in an upscale golf club in Old England. Very very cool. We would definitely stay here again. Visiting from America.
