DO NOT STAY THERE, IT IS INFESTED WITH BED BUGS. As we were traveling north to Canada from Virginia, we stopped at this hotel for the night and resumed our drive early morning the next day. We had a two-queen room and my sons shared a bed. They both woke up covered in bug bites. Since we had a long drive that day, I decided to call the Hotel and address this upon arrival to our destination. The way the hotel handled this issue was more than frustrating. When I first called, I was told that they took this very seriously and that they would have a pest control company come and inspect the room. Then, they stated that they would call me back within a few days to convey the findings and we would go from there. I never received a call back. I have contacted the hotel on at least 5 occasions following that and the manager never returning my calls. After a few weeks with no response nor call back from the hotel, I decided to escalate this to Marriot Customer Care. Again, initially, a case number was established. I was supposed to receive a call back within 2 to 3 business days. No one from Marriott Customer Care followed up with me at all. I called again after about a week, they told me they would escalate this to a higher level and that I would get a call back in a few business days but again, I never received a call back. I called again and finally was able to speak to a manager and I was told that my two options were to either re-open the case with the hotel which was already nonresponsive or keep the case closed while taking 40,000 points in consolation. The only way I could get a copy of the report I had requested from the pest company was if I re-opened the case with the Hotel itself, who refused to return any of my calls. I found the whole situation and the way it was handled by Marriott and the hotel itself beyond pathetic. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL. THEY DO NOT TAKE BED BUG ISSUES SERIOUSLY.
