Crystal Inn - Neptune

The bed was terrible, the mattress and pillows were terrible, the refrigerator was the oldest I have ever seen with a horrible sound, I spent my worst nights thanks to the fact that they do not have a good bed and their room facilities were too old.

I was very pleased with my experience staying at Crystal Inn. The pool was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom can use an update but overall, my experience was positive. Madeline was professional and attentive. I’m planning on coming back next month. The location is convenient. Only 15 minutes from Asbury Park.

This place is a DUMP! There were seedy people there partying at all hours. The hotel is outdated and gross. The worst part is there were cockroaches in the bathroom! DISGUSTING! Do yourself a huge favor and stay somewhere else!

Entire facility, including our room, smelled of cigarette smoke, both stale & fresh smoke. The reviews I read that this place was worth the price or bull! $300.00 a night was not worth it! Smack dab between a car wash & a gentlemen's club! Sofa was FILTHY! If paying under $100.00 a night maybe worth the stay, definitely not worth $300.00. Front desk staff was very nice though.

COCKROACH INFESTED. Stayed there over the weekend. Found cockroaches near my luggage. NEVER AGAIN. I spoke to the kind woman at the desk and asked if they've ever had this problem before, I was told they have in the past but now they spray regularly. Obviously not. If the rooms were MUCH cheaper I'd expect that sort of thing, but for almost $300 a night, you better not have roaches!

Great value for the money. Simple but clean rooms, plenty of towels for one person, very pleasant and helpful staff. Only 2 downsides; 1 minor, 1 major. Minor: the bed is comfortable, but you only get one blanket. So bring an extra, if that's your thing. Major: I saw a couple of cockroaches. I wasn't surprised, because previous reviews had mentioned them. They weren't everywhere, but still best not to leave any of your stuff on the floor. The irony is that the building was being power washed while I was there - maybe put some of that money into better insect control.

The price was very reasonable and it has a beautiful outdoor pool! Pet friendly and very clean and nice. It's not a "fancy" hotel but it's clean and comfortable and we liked it a lot. Highly recommended!

PLEASE!! PLEASE!! PLEASE STAY AWAY!! As a solo woman traveling my first concern is safety , I experienced harassment just for questioning my safety . I headed to front desk to check in as normally we do , after checking in I asked an individual that I think is a housekeep supervisor or some kind manager, I can’t be sure , because he didn’t identify himself , although my presumption of his status was based seeing his interaction with the staff , so , my question was : is it safe here , his reply :” in today’s day nowhere is safe “ some words around that , I WAS SPEECHLESS, he got so mad after I questioned about safety, I received only hostile, harassment, disrespect at this place. This individual followed my steps , if I step out of my room , he go into my room , it was terrible. Employees didn’t look at me , if I headed to the front desk , the agent didn’t look at me or barely answered my questions, I was nervous, uncomfortable stepping out of my room. I will be reporting this situation to headquarters, but until something change , STAY AWAY. I hope this review can help another person, specially woman TO STAY AWAY.
