My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Sandals Negril for 12 days, and our experience was nothing short of memorable. From the breathtaking beach views to the vibrant atmosphere, what truly stood out was the world-class dining and the incredible staff who made our trip special in so many ways. Culinary Highlights The food at Sandals Negril was absolutely five-star. Every meal was a celebration of flavor, and several dishes deserve special mention: • The Sundowner served one of the most incredible surf and turf dinners we’ve had — the lobster and steak were cooked to perfection, and the crabcake was so fresh and well-seasoned that we ordered it more than once. • Bayside offered a delightful experience, with standout dishes like the escargot, paired beautifully with a relaxed evening ambiance. But the culinary excellence didn’t stop there — we also ventured down to Beaches, where we were blown away by both the Italian restaurant and the sushi bar. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of authentic flavors. At Crema, every morning started with a perfect cup of coffee — rich, balanced, and expertly crafted. We were impressed to learn that the resort flew in a master barista from another country to train the team, ensuring they were not only skilled but also certified in the art of coffee-making. Their passion showed in every cup. Outstanding Service While not every interaction met a perfect standard, several team members truly elevated our stay: • Michelle at Sundowner delivered consistent, attentive, and warm service every time we dined there. Her attention to detail did not go unnoticed. • At Bayside, Olivia was an absolute standout. Her energy, promptness, and friendly nature set a gold standard — if everyone on property were like Olivia, the resort would easily rival any five-star global destination. • Stacy-Ann from Club Sandals brought such professionalism and warmth that made us feel cared for throughout our stay. She’s a true asset to the property. • When we experienced an issue at Perla, where staff failed to appear during late-night hours, Lancelot, the Food and Beverage Director, stepped in with true leadership. He handled the matter quickly and professionally, and even made our anniversary celebration one to remember — a personal touch we deeply appreciated. Additionally, I reached out to Cion, one of the managers on staff, through the GINA app, regarding the ocean floaties, which had become dirty due to a seaweed issue. She addressed the concern immediately, and for the rest of our stay, they were cleaned every other day, improving the overall beach experience significantly. Service Feedback While the food and select staff were exceptional, overall service throughout the resort lands between 3.5–4 stars, particularly when compared to Sandals Dunn’s River, where we experienced consistent five-star treatment.
