Villa Faros Small Hotel & Restaurant

We stayed in one of the new suites which was perfect. Quiet and a little secluded. Perfect for peaceful days. Following a fresh and delicious breakfast each morning, we spent our days visiting local villages and various beaches, all in easy reach of the hotel. Most evenings we ate at the hotel who although not quite prepared for full on vegetarian meals at this point in the season nevertheless furnished us with satisfying and delicious collections of sides. (I did wonder how they managed with vegan guests but as our resident vegan was not with us I didn't dwell on it.) I would happily recommend the hotel. The staff were all charming and helpful, it's a beautiful location and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

This was our third time staying in the hotel. We spent a week in the family suite with our 22 year old daughter who has just finished Univerity. The rooms are beautifully furnished, simple , very clean and comfortable with wonderful views. The family and staff are all very friendly and warm and it is nice to spend time chatting with them. It is a real plus that they take the time to connect with guests and talk to them- not in an intrusive way but with a feeling that they enjoy meeting people and talking to them. The food is delicious and there was enough choice to give us variety during our week. The pool is very clean and was not overcrowded. The beach closest to the hotel (5 mins walk) is lovely and quiet and we swam every day and also walked along the beach.. Sometimes it is windy, but we discovered that the winds tend to be less in September than in July and August , when we visited previously. There are also several other nice beaches not far away, which we walked to.Another lovely stay here and we look forward to returning as soon as possible!

We stayed at the family suite for an entire week. This suite was perfect for the four of us (family with two teenagers). We had a fantastic time the Faros Villa. Nikos and Vicky are great hosts. Very friendly (as is the entire staff) and helpful. Nikos picked us up from the airport and drove us back to town on our last day. Rooms are very nice and clean, as is the pool. The restaurant at the hotel is another big plus, offering delicious Greek food and a large breakfast. We enjoyed being out in the peaceful and quiet part of the island with the great beaches of Alyko close by. We can only recommend this place. If you are looking for a wonderful small, family-run hotel, then this is it.

We loved this hotel and the amenities were amazing and kid friendly. The pool is huge and is a fun place to hang around with the bar and a TV .The restaurant is awesome with amazing food and breakfast which comes with your stay. Everyone who works here is absolutely incredible and made our vacation even more special. I hope you love the place and 100% recommend staying here.

We’re on a tour of the islands, so we get to compare and contrast the places we stay. This one - Faros Villa - is easily the best so far. It’s located next to a nature reserve with some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, all within relatively easy walking distance. It’s run by a family and they clearly care very much about the place: just about every detail, from sheets to lighting to decor to the beautiful gardens, everything seems cared for. Then there’s the food at the adjacent restaurant. We ate there all three nights and it was ALL delicious, most especially the homemade options (unless you’re a vegetarian, try the lamb and potatoes probably the tastiest thing I’ve tried yet). Anyway, don’t hesitate. Book the sea view rooms if you can: worth a little extra for the sunsets on the balcony.

Exceptionnel petit hôtel boutique Le meilleur de notre séjour. Vous êtes accueillis avec coeur et gentillesse par une vraie famille grecque qui met tout en œuvre pour que vous soyez bien. Séjour de 4 jours trop court mais nous voulions découvrir cette île que nous ne connaissions pas. Revenons au Faros, petite suite avec très beau balcon dans le style des Cyclades, tout est blanc, lumineux et très propre. Le cadre du jardin très bien entretenu, une maison où on se sent chez soi. Le restaurant est excellent et le petit déjeuner exceptionnel. Vous choisissez un jour avant ce que vous souhaitez et le matin il vous est servi dans le restaurant. Une plage sauvage vous attend juste devant, l’île vaut mieux que la plage, il y a de très beaux villages à l’intérieur comme celui de Halki où je rêverais d’y vivre 6 mois par an, des galeries d’art et de belles randonnées à faire. Vous vous plairez beaucoup au Faros si vous voulez être en dehors des mondanités. Une seule envie y retourner. Svp, évitez de claquer les portes.. et faites en sorte que vos enfants ne hurlent pas la nuit, la chambre à côté de la notre, hurlements la nuit et le matin.. Et les portes qui claquent, pensez aux autres et respectez le calme de ce paradis Un grand merci à la famille et à tous les collaborateurs de Faros
