Hotel Strandbo

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. It is at a wonderful location and used to be a really nice place. Unfortunately this time our experience was different. The reception staff was not very welcoming as we came, but began to question my comments and started to give advice that I did not need or ask for. The next morning the reception staff (different person) told us three times how many minutes there is before the breakfast starts - and the chef for the fourth time. We were just there readily waiting, because our schedule was rather tight. The breakfast was very simple, and some of the veggies etc. came to the table only bit by bit after the starting time. The "scrambled eggs" was grey, strangely reminded of some kind of small grains and was not hot. Bread was good. The room had a nice balcony, but lousy furniture to enjoy it. The room itself was fine, but the bathroom was very outdated, badly cleaned and the ventilation system was full of mold or something - I did not want to look closer. The location is great, as said, and the vibe otherwise. However, there are much better options available in the Nauvo center and more wider on the island.

Location is great and the vibe is nice. The staff was friendly. Unfortunately the floor and beds in the room were covered in dust and dog hair. The shower was covered with mold. The room was also missing proper airconditioning, which made it really hard to sleep at night. Breakfast was average, no vegetarian or vegan options available. The hotel is overall really outdated and is in a need of some upgrading. We expected a little bit more for the price we paid.
