One side of the building overlooks several dumpsters and they are unkept. The hallway rug should be in the dumpster. In this case you don't get what you pay for. They leave the back door to the pool open. The hotel side you need your room card to enter the pool area, serious security issue.

It was a perfect getaway. The location is unbeatable. The room was large and clean. The staff was very pleasant. The view is magnificent and you are close to all the good restaurants. If breakfast is important to you, walk to a nearby restaurant and get your coffee and bagel for $10. Nonissue. We liked that we were able to book for just one night. Location, location, location.

The cleaning staff stole from us and the front desk people covered it up despite photographic evidence of the items taken from the room. Front desk lady was extremely rude in phone calls and in person. They also pressured us into checking in earlier than their normal check-in so that the manager could go home early.

I absolutely loved this hotel. One king bed, ocean view suite on the second floor, was amazing! Spacious, clean, comfortable and decorated so nicely. There was also a separate sitting room with a couch, chair, and table with huge windows giving us the most amazing view of the ocean. Small touches like a vase of flowers on the table, night time reading lights on the headboard of the bed, and pretty pictures on the wall really added to the cozy and homelike feel. A small balcony with two chairs and a table was perfect for drinking my morning coffee and my evening cocktails. Free breakfast (coffee, juice, bagels, cereal) was available and was a nice start to the day. Coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave were great to have in the room. Some cosmetic updates could be made, but no big deal. Short walk to beach and pier shops. All staff we came in contact with were very pleasant. I would most definitely stay here again.

Newly refurbished room with lots of space, good size bathroom, microwave, fridge, bar sink area and very clean. Directly across from the coastline, easy access to many attractions, some are walking distance. Staff were friendly and polite.

Disappointed in the hotel, it’s an old historic property that’s been renovated but in a no frills way. For the price I expected higher quality of everything! Continental breakfast was a joke. Drains in bathroom sink and tub needed clearing. Best part is the view!

I was extremely leary after my boyfriend booked a room here, and reading the reviews. The soda machine is located outside the front entrance. Water is for sale on a patio table outside the checking area. Without seeing the room, these were good indicators that the room would not live up to my expectations, but would live up to the expectations of the reviews I had read. The room does have a king bed and JUST enough room to walk around it. That’s as big as it is. It’s hot and smells like my brothers’ rooms when they were teenagers. There was a hair stuck on the dresser….why??? There are three flat pillows on the bed and a shabby looking bedspread. Pictures included as verification. I am hoping to find another room nearby or I may sleep in the car.

I booked a room with a partial ocean view and what I got was a full view of the parking lot on ground floor next to the entrance so no privacy at ALL! The room was the size of a closet. Very dated and very uncomfortable bed. Breakfast? Mini muffins and bagged bagels. Not individually wrapped not very hygienic at all. Upon check in they only had us booked for one night but that did get straightened out. There were no other rooms available so we were stuck. I filled out the survey and was told that manager would call me on Monday. I am writing this review on Thursday since I gave enough time to hear from him. I paid a great deal of money for a lousy room. Never again and wish I could get a partial refund since it was not what I had booked. Renters beware!

The AH is a well maintained property. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. The bed is comfortable. I stayed in a room with a queen bed. There was enough room for me to feel comfortable. The stair case to the second floor is a bit steeper than normal. The rooms on the front look at the water. The rooms in back look at the parking lot. The second floor outdoor patio is a nice place.
