Aqua Blue Hotel

I loved the Aqua Blue. Staff was very helpful finding food, storing my bike and even figuring out elevator. I was on the "first floor" which is above the lobby and the elevator did not have a #1 button. The desk staff got on with me to figure it out and rode up to be sure it took me to my floor. Safe surroundings, walking two minutes from the seawall and Towers, surrounded by very nice buildings and shopping. Comfortable bed, good water pressure in shower though the toilet did make a horrible gurgle and shake when flushed.

The hotel has a great location and wonderful views of the ocean. It is within walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. The positives however, are outweighed by the negatives. The hotel is poorly maintained. The furniture, carpets, etc. are old and worn. The doors to the rooms, barely close. There was a lot of noise from people out in the hallway. The bathroom was very cramped and one of the lightbulbs over the sink was out. Our room had a power ***** next to the bed that didn’t work. The Internet had only one bar and was not usable.

The place could use a little renovations but The pool and views were beautiful I will be back next year The new Management is doing a great job it looks amazing compared to Last year! The beds were so comfortable. The rooms were clean. The TV. Definitely could've been a lot bigger.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Upon arrival and check in, we were shown 2 rooms. Both not cleaned after the previous guest checked out. Last night's room was not serviced. Our daughter stayed in a room close by the pool and had to keep the doors shut tight because of an overwhelming stench from chlorine. Location is good, but the property is completely mis-managed and overpriced. Were told we would receive a discount because of all the screw-ups. Upon check out nobody remembered... It's a roach motel.

My husband and I stayed here for a short Anniversary stay. The area here is was gorgeous! Our stay at the Aqua Blue was 'OK'. The rooms were very clean I will say, and the cleaning staff was very helpful and friendly. However, the Desk - Check -In staff not so much. They did not smile to make us feel welcomed, there were a few just sitting in the back of the check in area, not really doing helping. It actually felt like we were bothering them, So I have to say, a very poor desk staff. Our bathroom lights above the bathroom sink were out when we first arrived to our room. So I called the desk and they said to me, 'We will send someone up immediately' well, sadly nobody ever came. Each time we asked to go in the inside pool area, because the door was 'locked' the first day we were there the desk staff said 'it was being cleaned'. Let me add, there is Nothing on the pool door telling people this or saying what time the pool is cleaned daily. The next day, we went to go to the pool again, and 'again' it was locked! We went to the desk and at first they once again, said 'it was being cleaned' This time, we were not going just walk away. We had to keep asking for them to check, and we feel because there were other check in guests, the lead desk staffer said to the one we were talking to, to get the key and open the door. Again, it was like we were 'bothering' them. We went with that staff young lady, she unlocked the door and Nobody was working in there at all. So then 'Why was the pool still Locked???' The deck furniture was rather in disarray, most cushions were soiled, and no staff seemed to go up there to fix the area up neatly in the AM to have it look more cared for. I will say though, it was a beautiful view from the common deck area. We both agreed we would not go back there again for a stay, mainly because the Staff (Not the Cleaning staff) were not at all very accommodating, helpful or friendly. Disappointed Guests Dee

Very disappointed with this hotel. The pool was disgusting and the hot tub did not work even though we were told it was. The "complimentary" coffe bar was not set up at 8am and we had to ask the desk clerk to make it. She was not very friendly. Something has to be said for the amount of air freshener that was being piped in or the Renizits that were everywhere. The only good side was the proximity to the beaches and restaurants. Everything within walking distance and Narragansett is beautiful. For the amount of money we paid for the 2 nights I expected a little more welcome and hospitality. A very cold, unwelcoming environmet.

Our stay was 6 nights. This hotel is in dire need of updating. Don't be fooled by the lobby. We took the Blue Room, which was a larger room. Was supposed to have an ocean view. It was at the end of the building. No real view. First couple of days we went into the pool. Water was heated. Water level was very low. We reported. Next day, after the beach went to the pool and there was a hose running filling the pool. The pool water was overflowing. Someone forgot to check it. Having a pool, we shut the hose. A while later, the Office Manager came in and realized it had been forgotten. We told her we shut it and she thanked us. However, the hose was left with a 2 gallon tub of chlorine sitting on it at the edge of the pool. Any child could come in and touch that tub. There were children with no parents. The spa never worked, the pool was never vacuumed. If you asked they just lied about it. There was also barely any chlorine in the pool. The office manager should not be dealing with the swimming pool. That's not her job. They are always short of pool towels, not that you want to go in. The heater also stopped working. I'm so mad that I didn't listen to most of the reviews and paid the amount we did. Especially for Saturday and Sunday nights. Go somewhere else.

After night one of my two night stay. Staff was not welcoming. Was charged an additional $75 to my card in addition to the $100 hold - have still not found out why, but that's quite an increase from the quoted/booked amount. I booked this hotel for it's proximity to the beach, but they write your check out time on the car ticket so you have to move your car and fight to find parking for the beach where you pay another $15+. This makes no sense to me since check in time is not until 3pm. That should be the time that we are allowed to leave our car there, before the next bookers come in. Ridiculous. Ocean is barely visible from my balcony, which is a tight small enclosed space, with no room to sit, and right in the middle of the shared hotel deck. Pool is cloudy, and hot tub is not open. Hotel definitely needs updating - taking the stairs shows the lack of maintenance. Overall not worth the money. If I were not locked in for another night, I would check out today.

The location and views are fantastic! Unfortunately, the staff is very unpleasant and rude! I came to check in and the woman behind the desk never looked up from her computer or stood up or even said hello. All she did was hand me a slip to fill out and let me know that I had to wait for my room. Also, it says that breakfast is included. That is not the case!! Only hot coffee is included, there is no breakfast. A late check out and she was incredibly rude to me and said it would be $100 an hour, that is not what it says online! It is my husband and i's 20th wedding anniversary and unfortunately she has been absolutely of no help and very unpleasant!
