Surf Beach Narooma Holiday Park

Avoid at all costs unless you are homeless and have no other option. Very sad to see this amazing location go to the dogs. Not sure if I just drive into a refuse dump or a caravan park. Overgrown, dumped rubbish, weeds, uneven powered sites, camp kitchen is a total disgrace. Had booked for 4 nights but manager kindly refunded our money saying it’s a regular occurrence when people arrive now and refuse to stay once they see the condition.

The caravan park is in a fabulous location. Patrolled beach, golf club and woolies all within walking distance. If you choose the beach front sites be prepared for daily strong winds but the views are worth it. The prices are fabulous for Peak Season. Small park, does not seem busy at all. Their sites are little and many are down a small embankment, so be mindful if you have a van. The amenities are basic, one sink for toilets, one sink and a small mirror for shower. People clean their teeth in the camp kitchen (very very very) basic but all you need, which I found a bit grose. The unpowered sites have no water or sullage. C40 is used a thoroughfare which I find very frustrating as i was taught as a young girl never to walk through someones site. There is no privacy for any site. Some lovely lilly pillys or palms trees blocking the camp kitchen to C40 would be lovely. All in all, a pretty cruzy caravan park - extremely quiet, respectful guests and a great price. There is no drainage on any site, so not sure what would happen in heavy downfall. Sites are small. I also havent seen the toilet closed for cleaning but the handsoap and paper towel are full and it doesn’t look too bad. Good to see reasonable priced accommodation if you dont need all the bells and whistles but want the best location. The staff at reception are also lovely and attentive to emails.

What am amazing camp ground. Has been recently updated and is beautiful. Gardens are stunning and the sites are well maintained and large. Great location right on the main patrolled beach with a wonderful coffee shop at the surf club just down the steps from camp ground. Easy stroll up the hill to narooma golf club for dinner or just over the hill to the main street. Bathrooms facilities were super clean and tidy, heaps of hot water and well stocked. Brand new washing machine and dryer and the camp kitchen seemed well stocked with washing liquid etc although we didn't need to use these facilities. Super quiet at night with lots a wildlife. Only improvements would be better lighting at night as was super dark and the lawn mowers for the gold course started up very early. Will definitely be back! Loved the place!!

Stayed in the Honeymoon Cabin recently. Has the most amazing view of the ocean, including Montague Island, you could wish for. The beach is a short strollaway. Also is well equipped with everthing you need for a comfortable stay. The big drawback was the wifi was very poor, though the staff did tell me it was due to be improved in the near future.

We stayed in the Honeymoon Cottage for 3 nights. No-one at Reception when we arrived and no answer on phone, so we had to search the park to get assistance. Friendly and courteous staff but obviously understaffed. The other white cottages were in the process of being refurbished. Our cottage was in a great location overlooking the beach but was in need of maintenance. There was no blind/curtains on the front doorway so anyone outside could see right into the bathroom. It should not have been rented until refurbished! Toiletries were not sufficient for a three night stay. No tissues or paper towels . Only 2 tea bags - no decaf. This was not the high standard that you expect from the Merivale Group.

What a great spot. Libby n Lily on reception were just lovely as were the ground staff. We had e-bikes so getting around was easy. So many great places to ride to - into town, the marina, along the golf course to the cemetery (great views)
