Well Come - Santa Lucia

Not a great experience (this is understating somewhat). Place was really not very clean, and it certainly wasn't as advertised in photos. It isn't on the beach, pretty much everything was worn and shabby as opposed to antique, and there was no sign of team of educated experts. Creepy feel. We didn't stay.

This is an old, poorly maintained, badly located, creepy "Guest House". It is located in some kind of an industrial/office building with a large sign that shows one tenant is a medical laboratory. There are overflowing garbage cans on the street in front. The entrance is through a secured parking lot, with a daytime guard. You need a key to get into this yard at night, and three more to enter the guest house. The fifth skeleton key was for our room. The coin operated elevator is not large enough for two persons and luggage. The various listings show this as an idyllic accommodation, with period antiques and cultural offerings. Nothing could be further from the truth. The only public areas consist of two windowless halls with motion detecting lights. There is no dining room, library, or reception desk. There are two culturally offensive statues of black slaves in the main hall. The place was deserted when we were there. The bathroom is gross. There was lots of mold and mildew in the shower. No towel bars. The toilet is electric and sounds like a very large, old garbage disposal. The toilet typically activates when you flush, but may go off at anytime. It is so loud and startling as to wake others in the room, and indeed neighbors. When we were there, one night, someone came in late at night next door to us and the snoring was very loud through the wall. We also heard the toilet flush next door, waking us up. My wife did not feel secure and safe here. I did not feel safe on the street out front. We had a one week reservation and left after one night. "The Professor" who manages the place made it seem as is our fault, and could not understand our complaints. The place has a no refund policy and so far we are out $1700 for unused nights. We made the reservation on ***********, and they have been no help with my complaint.

Un'esperienza nuova, non il solito B&B. Abbiamo fatto un paio di colazioni ed un tour guidato in compagnia del Prof Maurizio che condivide volentieri il suo sapere storico e culturale ed apre, con piacere, discussioni che spaziano dalle tradizioni, dalla storia, dalla religione e dall'arte culinaria fino agli accadimenti dell'eta' moderna. La differenza dall'ampia scelta di strutture proposte on line, questa fa la differenza poiche' hai a disposizione persone, ed in questo caso docenti universitari locali, che si mettono a disposizione proponendo argomenti , trattati spesso camminando tra i vicoli, le trattorie e le piazze di Napoli, che alimentano ed incentivano un'apertura mentale con visione a 360°. ...osservare e accorgersi dei dettagli. Il prof Maurizio e' una persona speciale e molto disponibile. Davvero consigliato

first all the pictures are fakeand smd not real.this is a crapy small apartment in a hidden building far from center.you can't find the place and check in is disasters everything is bad bathroom is broken, very bad quality bed and sheets, very dirty, it's not even a guest house or b&b it's a joke this place worth 20 euros per night. No coffee machine no safety box, and broken bed and furniture and he lied this is antique which is nothing where antique you want quality does not pain just because he said it's 100 years old broken bed and mattress and safety issues. noisy bathroom with thin walls. nothing is like pictures save your money and time and go in somewhere better.
