Timing House is a very warm homestay hotel. The homeowners welcomed us with their beautiful smiles and also shared important and detailed information with us. Its location is great. There are two entrances connecting two streets, and the bus station is just around the corner. Our room was a cute and cool combination, we loved it. It’s very clean and comfortable. Simple cleaning daily is provided if you need; you just have to let the homeowners know. There’re also a public area where everyone can relax and use together. It includes places where you can make a cup of fresh coffee, and read and write. What’s more, they have a super mild and cute 14 year old dog whose name is “Timing”!

Lovely place and hosts. Comfortable and clean and just 1 minute walk from the 7-Eleven where the shuttle bus from Taichung alights/departs. Also a few minutes walk to the pier. Lots and lots of Totoro statues and toys! Bicycle shop at front. Ideal place to stay to explore Sun Moon Lake.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming! The room was clean and well-decorated. Furthermore, the location is excellent, situated very near the Shuishe (Sun Moon Lake) bus stop and the Shuishe Pier.

Great location - front entrance is through a bike store, the back entrance leads to the bus terminal and the ferry terminal. Staff was helpful and provided recommendations for touring the lake and food options. The rooms were Totoro-themed and spacious. Sound-proofing was not the best, but sufficient for a good rest.

Moderne Unterkunft am Sonne-Mond-See Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Das Zimmer ist in sehr gutem Zustand, geräumig und modern eingerichtet. Die Lage ist sehr gut wenn man den Sonne-Mond-See erkunden möchte. Der Bootsanleger, eingroßer öffentlicher Parkplatz sowie die Bushaltestelle sind nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß entfernt Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Nur eine Tür zum Bad haben wir vermisst.

Totoro themed + nice hosts Timing House is located on a cliff, so it has two entrances on two levels. The back entrance corresponds to the listed address (123 Zhongshan Road) and is behind a bike rental shop. This entrance is very close to the bus stops/tourist information centre. The front/guest entrance has easy access to the public car park and a 7-11. The decoration is very modern, with a Totoro theme. There's a small garden with a pond and swing and a guest kitchen/common room. The rooms are spacious and clean, but only one room actually has natural light. My room doesn't, but as compensation, there's an indoor garden feature with lovely Totoro family statues, which makes you feel like you have access to nature. However, the lack of natural ventilation meant there was a slight drain smell that got stronger after a shower. You might want to plan your showers so you can run the extractor fan (which is tied to the lighting) for a while afterwards. The hosts are very friendly and can offer local advice and discounted vouchers for the ferries and bikes.
