Jim's Jungle Retreat

Excellent ambience, great variety of food each day - tasty and filling. Staff extremely courteous and efficient. Everything provided in the hotel - large rooms with all amenities, restocked and cleaned every day. Other great services - lovely pool, massages etc.

We absolutely loved our four night stay The room was fantastic , clean and plenty of space. Enjoyed sitting in the balcony watching the birds and monkeys. Staff very friendly and great food Our naturalist guide Jeewan was fantastic and made our stay and safari even more special. His knowledge of birds etc was outstanding . We look forward to returning and will tell our friends also

What an amazing stay! We experienced the most wonderful food and service, staying in 2 lodge rooms, and we really appreciated the dedicated naturalists (we had Kuhelika and also Pansing as a driver). Top tip- you won't need to eat for a week after your stay here. We did 4 drives in the park in 3 different areas, and managed to see 2 tigers, elephant and a hornbill building her nest. We also enjoyed the evening films / talks.

We were there for 4 nights in March and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our meal requests and service was all taken care of. The staff were polite and everything was organised down to the tee. We really loved our stay and highly recommend the place.

A genuine jungle experience, you are a (dry) river's width away from the park. So close that whilst we were there leopards visited the grounds to drink from the ponds during the night. To prevent any confrontations, all the linking paths are covered in gravel giving any animal plenty of warning of your approach. The accommodation is either a ground floor cottage or a two-storey lodge. We had the former and it was clean and comfortable with efficient daily housekeeping. The food is never-ending and of a high quality. Vegetables grown by Jim's are featured heavily and the local Indian meals are superb. If you there for the safaris be prepared for early starts - 0530 - so you can be at the gates to the park as they open. It was cool until the sun came up so take a fleece. There can be no guarantee that you will see tigers but with the very experienced and knowledgeable guides who accompany you, you have the best chance. We were very lucky, seeing 3 tigers in our first 2 days but none in our last two. However, the variety of other wildlife plus the stunning scenery is more than worth the visit. Staff at Jim's are unfailing polite, helpful and good-natured. A truly amazing place.

Outstanding property. Beautifully built, feels like a jungle in a true sense, but with great facilities and amenities. Nice acitivities for kids. Lovely staff who is super helpful. Wonderful food. Their naturalists and animal experts were super helpful and insightful, we learnt a lot. Would highly recommend this as the place to stay when visiting Corbett.
