The Den Corbett Resort

I recently attended a wedding at Den Corbett Resort, and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. What was supposed to be a joyous celebration turned into a nightmare for all the guests due to a severe case of food poisoning. The issues began shortly after the wedding reception meal. Multiple guests, including myself, started experiencing symptoms of food poisoning, such as nausea, stomach cramps, and vomiting. It became evident that the food served was contaminated, as almost everyone who consumed the meal fell ill. This not only ruined the wedding festivities but also left many of us feeling unwell for days afterward. The lack of accountability from the management was disappointing. It felt as though they were more focused on avoiding responsibility than addressing the issue. Aside from the food poisoning incident, the overall service and facilities at the resort were subpar. The rooms were average at best, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. For a venue that hosts such important events, the lack of attention to hygiene and quality is unacceptable. I would strongly advise against hosting or attending any event at Den Corbett Resort. The poor food quality, lack of proper hygiene, and unprofessional handling of the situation made this an experience I would not wish on anyone. It’s a shame that what should have been a memorable wedding turned into a regrettable ordeal for all the guests.

The 'Den' is a beautifully designed, jungle-themed resort located right by the river. There are two access points to the river, both just a short 10-minute walk from the resort. On one side, you can even drive your car right up to the riverbank! The resort is surrounded by dense trees and lush greenery, making it one of the few places in the Jim Corbett area with manicured lawns perfect for hosting events, all while preserving the natural environment. The cottages are excellent—spacious and well-maintained, including two unique tree cottages. Amenities include two swimming pools, volleyball and badminton courts, table tennis, swings, and a library.  All meals are vegetarian, and breakfast is exceptional. While the food quality is good and the portion sizes decent, the lunch and dinner menus could benefit from more variety beyond the abundance of paneer dishes. Additionally, a wider selection of snack options would enhance the dining experience. The beverage prices seem a bit high,so patrons may want to bring their own cold drinks/ soda if they want to use it as a mixer with their booze as the rooms are equipped with excellent refrigerators. The staff is polite and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. If you love pets, this is the place for you, as they are very welcome. The resort has a gentle German Shepherd named Coffee, who kept us company during our stay. Unfortunately, he appears to be in need of more care and affection than he currently receives, as his owner is not present. Overall, this resort is a great choice for nature lovers and pet owners alike.

Wonderful experience and wonderful staff. Food was good n exotic. Nice view and nice sencery. Jijo and Coffee was our darling. We love everything and everyone there. Love to visit again. Please visit with your family friends to enjoy their. Cleanliness and hygiene was well maintained

A cloud Burst over the hills of Uttrakhand led to a bridge collapse some six kms from the hotel. The power supply of area was affected. Their "diesel for generators" supplier was reportedly stuck on other side of the collapse. Understandable. The manager sent candles in the room declaring that generators will be stopped from 11 pm to 5 am. No fan, no lights, no AC. Reasons: 1) have to save fuel for running generators for restaurant next day - Not understandable. 2) have to provide diesel to a resort in neighbourhood - Not understandable. 3) have to provide diesel to neighbourhood villagers for their petromax.- Dhami ji - please nominate a party ticket to this gentleman. 4) At 9pm in the rainy night he offered me refund - a bad gesture. Where would the customer go at such a time. Mr Manager, please tell me where does a paid customer stand in your list of priorities in such an exigency. Your resort is friendly to neighbourhood resorts & villagers but not to a customer who has paid 100% amount in advance. Where are consumer rights? Definitely not a refund. It should be the best services in disaster. Learn from the veterans of this industry, Mr Manager.

My stay was excellent , this property is to beautiful its near of the river. Here staffs to humble and respectful I enjoyed my stay and food is also so delicious. I will recommend you should visit one time staff member kishore and girish to helpful

Had a wonderful experience at the resort The staff were very helpful and the whole atmosphere and ambience was wonderful! Special treat for us would be our experience and time spent with the cutie Coffee and the naughty coco! Would love to visit again
