Nagambie Waterfront Motel

Beautiful hotel, great location, big spacious rooms, sensational pool area! Great waterviews from our room! We will definitely be returning! Oh, and the greeting on arrival was lovely!...........................................

We decided on an off peak stop over in Nagambie for a couple of days. Room was nice and cosy,beds comfortable. Fantastic view of sunset at night from the balcony. Only concern was frontage area is open to general public. Close to all restaurants, distillery, and main street.

My wife and I stayed here in a Lakeview Room on the first floor, for one night on our drive home from Bright, to break the journey. The room has a balcony with a nice view of Lake Nagambie. This place is very well located within walking distance to restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of car parking spaces.

We stayed for a business trip... there was a group of us. The location of this motel is incredibly good... it is right next to Lake Nagambie. There is parking within the grounds of the motel or right outside. As we stayed mid-week it was quieter than it would normally be. From here, you are also walking distance to all eateries in town and many of the things listed to see on TripAdvisor. The rooms are quite lovely and I was located in a room overlooking the lake with a small balcony. The bathroom is beautifully laid out with extra room in the shower. The products to use in the shower were outstanding- I never use shampoo/conditioner in motels and I did use these ones. They smelled divine. Mattress was not too firm and the linen is a reasonable quality...so sleep came to me easily. Towels in the bathroom are also a good size. The gardens and grounds are beautifully maintained. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who wants a few days away.

Stayed for one night and to be honest, had we booked for longer we would have cancelled our booking and found somewhere else. Stayed on a Saturday night. They did give us a 10% discount card on arrival for a local Cafe and the Brewery. Unfortunately both of these businesses place a 10% surcharge on their menu for weekends. 15% on public holidays. So you get no real discount at all. The room was adequate, but not clean. The bathroom window sill had clearly not been cleaned for weeks, possibly months (see photos). Likewise the top of the cupboard has probably never seen a cleaning cloth. The soap products in the bathroom smelled lovely, but one of the hand wash bottles was completely empty, the second almost empty. At 11pm we were woken by a noisy bunch of guests. A group of about 10 who stood on the forecourt laughing and yelling for about 30 minutes. One of the "ladies" repeatedly walking past our room yelling like a feral. We ultimately opened our door to tell them to be quiet which obviously had little effect. No management in sight at that time of night. The group returned at 1.30 am and repeated the noise, waking us a second time. Still no action from management, who clearly don't have staff on site overnight. On checking out, tried to raise the above issues with reception and she couldn't have cared less, simply saying "I'm so sorry but thankyou for the feedback". Not interested in looking at photos of the room, nor offering even a token discount. In a small town like this, I would think reputation is everything. This business obviously doesn't think so. Good luck to them, because I won't be back and will make sure I warn all my friends and family to stay away from this place.
