I understand that every condo is different and consistency might be off, but we loved our stay and had a great trip. Vacasa was easy to book and provided good communication before and during our trip! As with any hotel or condo booking, you have to do your research and read the cancellation policy before you book. There is also an insurance option to add on at the time of booking. I will absolutely return to the Carolinian using Vacasa to book it!

VACASA rentals have the worst customers service. Rented a condo in North Myrtle Beach @ North Hampton #1501, 2bdrm 3bth, spectacular view from wrap around balcony. Unit is dated, needs TLC, and deep cleaning. Rented Sep 4-9th, 2024. After 48hrs of back and forth with customer service still no resolution with not having hot water. Checked out a day early. Only took a chance with vacasa because it was booked through Marriott. Absolutely will not use vacasa again and will advise others to avoid. Customer service is not local until you ask to speak with a manager. After asking for manager it took over 30 mins of being on hold. The 1st conversation sounded promising, but ended up at square one. Talked to two more local managers. Nothing resolved.

They were the worst company I have ever dealt with! I had to cancel my reservation and I had it in writing the day i had to cancel by and they would not refund my money. In fact the girl that i was talking to laughed at me!!! I finally got ******* involved and they finally sent me a refund because again it was well documented that i was within my time period. I should never had to be laughed at and refused a refund. Dont rent with them!

Have stayed here many times, but no more. Parking Garage elevator never worked, Beds were horrible, NO rules enforced, could not sit on oceanfront balcony without skunk **** smell or people smoking cigarettes in a no smoking establishment. Tubs in room were way too tall to get in comfortably, Lazy river was ruined by kids unattended just running and playing going wrong direction, hot tub sauna never did work, ridiculous 10 digit door entry only worked part time, hung up on by front desk and service number, they just do not care. Positive was one maintenance man who helped us with elevator reset when nobody else cared ....

For the entire stay the parking elevator was out of order. Every day it was reported by many but nothing was done. It was even reported to the manager who said it would be fixed, it wasn't. Imagine having to park on the 5th floor and your almost 80 yr mum walking down the stairs. Gotta say mum did them better than me 🙂

We live just 2 hrs away, but I didn't want to just make this a day trip like we always do. This beautiful place was available for one night at a pretty decent price for a balcony ocean view. I would def stay here again longer. It was very clean and the customer was very nice.

Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The elevators were always clean. We didn’t do much at the resort itself but the pool and hot tub always looked clean. I would definitely stay here again!

Booked last week of Aug 2023 for 70th birthday. 1 week later car broke down. Called to cancel. No refunds allowed after 24hrs of booking. Requested to change date Not Allowed. I have called 3 times begging and pleading for a refund to repair car. No Exceptions to this 24hr rule

I honestly don’t even know where to begin… Vacasa has been, by far, the worst vacation rental company that I have ever dealt with. Negligent. Rude. Non-communicative. Entitled. Lazy. Unreliable. Blames the renters for EVERYTHING! Day of arrival: FILTHY home, especially the kitchen. Dirty dishes, food particles and grease everywhere. Filthy and broken appliances. Filthy rugs, floors, bedroom sheets. Ants everywhere, even inside the beds! An inch of dust built up on AC vents, filthy and broken mini blinds, broken and leaky dishwasher (water seeping through the floor and into the bedroom below the kitchen), broken vacuum, filthy and broken grill (which caught on fire bc of the grease build-up), no toilet paper, paper towels, dish and hand soap, towels, etc. had to stock up on basic supplies ourselves, illegal ***** found in the kids playroom right on the fooseball table! Day 2: 5 out of 7 children ages 6-12 received serious chemical burns on face, legs and genitals from pool. 2 of the children ended up in the ER because of it. We chose this home bc of the pool and proximity to the beach and the entire week, the children couldn’t go back in the water with their chemical burns. The pool guy tried telling me it was sunburn and the bathing suits they were wearing! Excuse after excuse!! No response or care from Vacasa, just ,”I am sorry this happened”. Day 3: We tried to use the grill. The grease tray was so filthy and filled with grease, as was the deck underneath the grill, the entire grill set on fire just minutes after lighting it (the ignition doesn’t work, so we had to go out and buy a fire clicker). It was terrifying! By day 4, everyone wanted to go home. I spent the ENTIRE vacation trying to get ahold of Vacasa’s management to get some answers, but I just kept receiving texts apologizing for what happened. NO COMPASSION, care or urgency at all!!! DO. NOT. BOOK. THROUGH. VACASA!!!!!!!!
