Al Husn hotel has a great location and all the staff are extremely friendly and attentative. However, breakfast time can be a little chaotic due to lack of staff and many tables are left uncleared causing delays for person coming in for breakfast.

Staying at the Shangri La Al Husn Muscat has been one of the highlights of our time in the Middle East. We decided to go for my girlfriends birthday and the team worked exceptionally well with me to deliver a unforgettable experience. Getting to the Shangri La was a bit of a challenge and taxis do not come cheap in Oman. Though it was not challenging I do wish there was a pickup/drop off option for the guests. The inclusive breakfast was wonderful and ordering off the menu assured that everything you ordered stayed fresh. There was a mixup with our order due to a language barrier but the food was still phenomenal. The in room breakfast and room service was a highlight as it allowed you to take full advantage of the room and with the inbuilt heaters in the dining table assured the food stayed hot. The value for money on in room dining was disappointing as an order of a burger and fries came with a small amount of fries, however that was fixed with our next order. The afternoon tea was delicious, highlights being the fromage and watermelon and the scones. Each afternoon tea was different and kept the palate excited. The happy hour beverages were also included and always came with a suprise canapé from the restaurant. In terms of the staycation, it was perfect. The interior and exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the sound of the ocean left you relaxed for the stay. I would like to raise that there was a lot of sealife by the beach which deterred us from swimming in the sea as we had heard a lot about the Omani coast and didn’t have much confidence in the beach patrol and lifeguards there. We noticed some playing on their phones but they were always happy to assist taking a picture for the two of us. I would suggest a more upfront approach when it comes to what you can expect in the sea there. A visitors lounge was also available allowing you to take full opportunity of the facilities till you left for your next adventure.

We have come to Oman to celebrate our wedding anniversary it has been perfect . When we arrived it was quiet as it was still the end of low season but as the days went on facilities re opened and more guests arrived increasing the atmosphere. The hotel is what one would expect from the Shangri La brand its attention to detail is fantastic. The views at the hotel and back drop are just stunning . The staff have been very welcoming and one must take time to mention Jerome at breakfast. His professionalism goes beyond what is expected of him . He is a huge asset to the company . The restaurants we ate in the food was Devine especially Sultanah fine dining where we had our anniversary dinner . The staff presented us with a cake after our meal . The table has rose petals scattered around . They made our special day feel perfect . We have to Thank Cylia in Customer relations for ensuring our stay was memorable to the point that we are planning our next trip to Shangri la. Thank you all staff at Shangri La Al Husn

We are currently at the Shangri-La Al Husn to celebrate our wedding anniversary and to be honest I think we made the wrong choice of hotel . The hotel is mostly closed . No facilities it’s like a ghost town . We have come to bed at 9pm . Maybe on our anniversary dinner evening we will go out of the resort . I am very disappointed.

There‘s so much to say… For starters, the staff is amazing, welcoming, extremely professional and helpful! From the reception (Jassim, Zeinab, Saira, Sami and Sheena) to the beach staff (Hossain, Said and their colleagues). Also, the breakfast included in our stay was delicious and the daily cleaning by the staff was exceptional! My wife and I came to Al Husn from Bosnia for our honeymoon and we feel so relaxed and well taken care of. We were a bit sick at the beginning and were immediately dropped off at the resort’s clinic (medication was so cheap!). We will definitely come back.

First class service from start to finish from every member of staff you encounter. We booked via a ******* however on arrival we were informed our break had been cancelled . Mostafa the front office manager genuinely good not do enough to help us sort everything out. This break was for my husbands 50th not only did he sort our booking had the room decorated ! Stunning location, excellent choice of restaurants, beautiful pool, afternoon tea, cocktails and canapés in the evening. Breakfast range was vast and beautiful we both had an omelette and it was the best we both have ever had! The GM of the hotel was greeting everyone at their tables genuinely asking how their stay was, we have travelled around the world and this is the first time we have ever had a GM do this. We will certainly be staying again !
