Pousada Ria – Aveiro

"If you are travelling along the N327 on the western side of the Ria Aveiro lagoon it is a convent place to stay. The hotel is about five miles south of Torreira. The local car ferry from Sao Jacinto to Aveiro is fast and runs reasonably frequently. The hotel has a rural setting and is not part of a village. Its’ moderate grounds have plenty of convenient car parking space and an outdoor swimming pool. The local beaches on the Atlantic are spectacular. But you will need a car, or take a very long walk, to get to them. The hotel has a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The single-story hotel is of a moderate size with about 20 bedrooms. The design and decor are very, very 1960s. The bar and lounge have ample space, all with views over the lagoon. The bedroom was a reasonable size and functionally furnished with a balcony overlooking the lagoon and the mountains beyond. The reception team took a keen interest in us and were helpful and polite. The restaurant was OK but nothing to write home about. The dinner service was noticeably slow. In summary, while the location and views are top notch the hotel is not luxurious and better described as functional. Compared to other Pousadas we have stayed in the hotel is a bit jaded and in urgent need of modernisation and a major renovation."

Di ja Linda olivat hyvin huolestuneita meistä ja jättivät meidät täysin vapaaksi kuin kotona."

Erittäin helppo saada lautta ja vierailla Aveiro, tutkia suolaa ja villi lintuja tämän hämmästyttävä kävely polkuja. Costa Nova Beachin värikäs stripped talot se on musta! BHB:n tilat ja puhtaus olivat suojattomia. Tulemme kaikki takaisin."

"Very old hotel, not maintained, no air conditioning in one of the 2 rooms, cleaning leaves something to be desired, dirty sheets. Too bad because there is potential in a great place on the water's edge …………."
