I made a reservation here but quickly noticed after making it that many people were complaining about the lack of air conditioning. Being that my visit would be during the summer months, I opted to find a different hotel. I contacted La Maison to cancel, and even though my reservation wasn't scheduled for another 3 months, I offered to pay a small cancellation fee for their trouble. I got a reply from Sven, who was unapologetic and completely unwilling to provide any refund or advice whatsoever. I was locked in. Look guys, this is a hotel that has obviously decided holding customers hostage is a good business practice. It worries me how badly they must be failing in other areas if this basic request was handled so poorly. If just one person reads this review and decides to take their business elsewhere, I will have done my job. Sven, see you this summer - I'd like you to bring up the fans to cool off my room personally.
