Great location. The room is tidy and clean . Great value for a stop over trip .

I was walking down the street and noticed a board out the front about the happy hour. So I went in, had it explained, receieved a free membership and thought this was a good lurk. So later in the day after some touring around I decided to go to the happy hour pls stay for the schooner and pint deal. Really good value and plenty of locals pack in for this deal. Don't know much more than good beer.

We loved our stay there, the pub feels warm & friendly. Our room was spacious & had a lot of old world charm, the staff are super friendly, happy to chat & extremely helpful. We had an issue with our hot water & the staff fixed it straight away, thankyou Kristen you are a gem!. :-)

Room 0 has no natural light or ventilation with no mechanical ventilation to provide fresh air. It does not comply with standards for habitable rooms. It was cheap despite being charged for two persons when I was solo so what should I expect? Cancel booking with nowhere else to go or put up?

It was summer holidays and hardly anything in Mudgee was open when we arrived looking for lunch, so we took the first available option, which was the Woolpack. The kitchen was serving mainly Chinese food. The menu looked like something from a suburban Chinese restaurant of 50 years ago, dumbed down for local tastes, so we weren't sure what we would get. We ordered pork mince dumplings, spring rolls, and chicken with black bean sauce and crispy noodles. Everything was great! Very economical too. We couldn't fault the food in any way. In other respects it was a typical friendly country pub.

Atmosphere was average very busy, Food was good pub food what you would expect. But the night went downhill from there after a few drinks I headed up to my room which was decorated ok but still average. Then I went to sleep and was woken up at 1:30am with the music still going then at 4:30 the cleaners turned up and what sounded like kegs rolling around and hammering it was then that I new my nights sleep was wrecked and I couldn’t get back to sleep and had a big day of travel ahead. Wasn’t impressed and felt ripped off!

Great location its in the heart of Mudgee, with beautiful bar and food. Staff are friendly Got Chinese restaurant kitchen next to it- hence you got option of Aussie and Chinese food options We went for a lunch on a beautiful day also We celebrated New year's eve here - had a lot of college crowd but it was great

Clean and tidy yes, but... They fail to tell you that you will be sleeping over a nightclub with music so loud that the bed, walls and anything not tied down will shake and rattle from 10pm until 2am in the morning. As a result, the worst night I have ever had in a hotel anywhere. Never again.

I booked this because of its low price and good location, but I was surprised at how well kept the room was. Staff in the downstairs pub were very helpful on arrival even though my coach arrived around 10pm, they showed me the room and where the shower and toilet were, with reception basically open as long as the pub was which they told me was until 1am. The large bed was very comfortable, the TV was pretty new, the kettle with tea and coffee were handy as was the mini fridge, the aircon was nice and cool, lots of room to spread out even with the second single bed. It wasn't an inconvenience to have the toilet and shower down the hall, although while I did only find one shower, even when the upstairs toilets were in use I was able to use the pub toilets even as early as 8:30am. Excellent location right off the main street surrounded by everything, yet very quiet. Having a few beers in the pub area was quite nice with a decent selection, staff were very friendly. I'd definitely stay there again if I was in town. For pub style accommodation it was just what I needed.
