"Superb service from this hotel! They offer free pick up service so I have no worries to travel from airport to hotel around midnight. Their breakfast is fantastic, their staffs are very helpful, one of the staffs even came and asked if I need any bacon and he cooked on the spot for me. I booked a deluxe single room but I get a twin bedroom which is much more spacious. Lovely atmosphere, great location in the city, the street is quiet even though nearby the busy Thamel street. The hotel manager, Mega, is super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is nice with friendly hospitality. It’s brand new and everything in the room is very clean! That’s rare to find in Nepal especially with any budget hotel. One only complaint is about the noises from street at night. Better bring earbuds if you’re a noise sensitive person like me. Except for this everything is perfect! The location is near Swayambhu but away from the commercial area, which is perfect to me. You could ask the front desk to hire a moto through indrive to the monkey temple site. It will take less than 10 minutes to be there."

"The location was very convenience near to the International Airport, the staff are very friendly and helpful, without any delay i can check in to my room, the room is extremely tidy and clean, and also the WiFi connection is wonderful.Specially thank you for friendly and always smiley Ms Ayusha serve me like making me feel at home every morning breakfast time, and also the frontdesk supervisor is so professional helping me to book a cab and bargain a good price for me. I will definitely stay in the hotel again for the next trip when I visit to Kathmanthu again."

"Lovely stay in Hotel Thrive. The hotel is located just off the main tourist hub in Thamel, it’s a very short walk and the hotel has security 24/7. The main courtyard is beautiful, a true tropical calm oasis away from the busy streets of Kathmandu. The rooms are spacious and modern with all the amenities you would need alongside daily housekeeping. The gym is compact but with good, well kept modern machinery and fantastic views across Kathmandu. The breakfast is delicious with ample choice to suit everyone. I would highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay again when we next visit Kathmandu."

"Nice, clean rooms, big comfy bed and pillows. Shower was okay. Water did not get hot, lukewarm at best and refrigerator was not cold at all, I almost thought it was broken. Food was good if you stick to Nepali and Indian food options, but lassis were watered down. Drinks were also not cold. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful, but I had two instances that really turned me off. They have a free buffet breakfast, but if you opt to skip it, they call you very early in the morning to ask if you're coming or not. This disturbed my sleep several times until I asked them to stop. Today was also my last day here and although check out is at 3pm, I received a call from reception at 10:30am asking when I'd be leaving. He informed me that a big group would be arriving and told me that the check out time was noon, when it was clearly stated otherwise online. He asked if I'd be staying another night instead as if I was bartering to not be pushed out of my room before check out time, when I was right. I've never had such an experience before and have traveled all over the world. Such a lack of professionalism and tact. That is not how you treat guests at a 4 star hotel. Not recommending this hotel to anyone!"

"Extremely wonderful hotel 15 minutes walk from the airport. Everything was sparkling clean, comfortable, and I always felt well taken care of. The gym is well stocked and has a great view of the city. Breakfast was another highlight and included many delicious Nepalese, Indian, and Western foods. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind, helping me call taxis for a cheaper fare than the tourist rip off price, and they also helped me store my luggage overnight while I went on a yoga retreat. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!!"
