Getting from the scenic area parking lot into any hotels in Qianhu Miao village can be very challenging. You would need to walk over 600 meters with luggage, queue for a local shuttle, and then walk or climb stairs again to reach whatever hotel you book. As a solo traveler with my young daughter and two suitcases, this initially felt overwhelming when thinking about this idea . I’m truely glad that I chose to stay with this hotel. Before we arrived, the staff proactively contacted me via WeChat and sent someone to meet us at the ticket checkpoint outside of the village to help with our luggage, and guide us onto the shuttle. This thoughtful assistance made a huge difference. The hotel’s location was perfect, right next to the viewing platform. After getting off the electric shuttle, it took only one minute walk to reach the lobby. The views from the lobby, rooftop, and room are absolutely stunning. We didn’t need to visit crowded public viewpoints — enjoying the sparkling night view of the Miao village from our room was more than enough. The Breakfast was generous and delicious, with surprisingly good coffee. A very good sour fish soup restaurant is located nearby. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. They patiently taught my daughter the Miao ethnic batik indigo dye — she loved it so much that she couldn’t stop. On the fifth floor, the hotel also offers a variety of ethnic costumes for photo shoots. Even after checkout, they still helped carry our luggage all the way to the parking lot, which was truly appreciated. Although our stay was short, we could truly feel the care, attention to detail, and kindness from everyone at the hotel. Staying here felt more like being at home than at a hotel. We will definitely come back again and stay for longer. Strongly recommended!

Charming Hotel with Attentive Service and Breathtaking Views Getting to the hotel can be a bit of an adventure—it’s tucked away inside the village, which requires a ticket and a bus transfer. However, the effort is well worth it. From the moment we arrived, our butler was incredibly attentive, offering a pickup service and always being available to answer questions or help with any needs. The rooms are spotless, cozy, and full of character, with stunning views that make you want to linger by the window. One of the most unique highlights is the rooftop photoshoot service—the backdrop is absolutely spectacular, and the photos turned out unbelievably beautiful. Overall, despite the slightly tricky journey, the combination of personalized service, charming rooms, and unforgettable experiences makes this hotel a true hidden gem.

We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel.The panoramic room offered a beautiful and completely unobstructed view,as shown in the photos and video as attached.The owners were very kind and polite.We were quite satisfied with their service; they were always quick to respond and very attentive.A special mention goes to their complimentary luggage service, which helped us from the North Scenic Entrance all the way to our room. I'd like to share my impressions of my stay at this hotel. Firstly, the hotel is very new and designer inside. The view of the village is, I'd say, the best in the area. First things first: the hotel offers a butler service, and when you arrive at the attraction, a butler will meet you and take your luggage. You don't have to bother walking to the bus, which is quite a distance, and the entire scenic area is on a mountain, requiring constant climbing. The hotel is also located on a hillside, so getting to it requires a climb up narrow steps. The butler carried my luggage and accompanied me the entire time. The walk from the entrance to the hotel took about 25 minutes, including the bus and the walk. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted at reception and offered afternoon tea; there were five drinks on the menu. I chose a milk oolong tea with milk, and they offered me fruit, nuts, and homemade cookies. It was delicious. I spent the entire time relaxing, drinking tea, and enjoying the village views. After I'd rested, I went to my room. I was given a room on the 4th floor with the lucky number 888. The room has absolutely everything: excellent Loccitan cosmetics, toiletries, robes, and slippers—everything is of very good quality. There's also a modern hairdryer and steam iron. There was a bath on the balcony, but I didn't use it because it was chilly. The room is really new; it has underfloor heating if you get cold, and also air conditioning. The bed linen, pillows, and blanket were wonderful. I didn't even notice how my night passed; I truly rested for the two nights I stayed at this hotel. The hotel staff explained how I could spend my time and took me to a restaurant where I could have a delicious meal. Then I went for a walk. I spent the entire evening strolling around the village and taking in the sights. That evening, when I returned, I was offered evening soup, which I really enjoyed; it was very unusual. Since I was a foreign tourist, the hotel staff communicated with me using a translator via WeChat, which was very convenient and prevented any misunderstandings. The next morning, I was offered breakfast, which was served on the first floor of the hotel. The dining room was also very beautiful and well-renovated. After breakfast, I went for a walk around the village to take beautiful photos. I had a wonderful time in the village, taking in the sights. I especially enjoyed the local people's show on New Year's Eve, as well as the singing of the women and men of the Miao people. The day before my departure, the hotel staff asked what time my return tickets to Guiyang would be and told me they would arrange for me to be transported to the entrance so I could call a taxi. I would give this hotel the highest rating, firstly because it's in a wonderful location on a mountain with a magnificent view, and literally a three-minute walk from the main observation deck. I would also give the highest rating to the hotel personnel, and especially to the butler his wechat name Velpro, they are all tried their best to help me and accompanied me on all my questions. I would also give the highest rating to the hotel owners, who care about the interior order, cleanliness, and the care of their guests. This level of hospitality is truly rare. If I return to this village, I will definitely stay at this hotel. I recommend it to everyone.

The place was amazing, I just loved it. I picked the room with the bathtub in the balcony and it was an amazing experience. The staff spoke basic English but they were very helpful and tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The views were breathtaking, the room was well equipped and the breakfast was interesting (Chinese). If you want to enjoy your stay here please take my following tips into consideration: - Leave your luggage at Kaili station or at the tourist center and take only the necessary time terms for your stay because you’ll have to take 2 buses and walk uphill on uneven stairs to come to this hotel (which doesn’t have elevators so more stairs to get to your room) it will be just hectic, so store your luggage and come here lightweight. - Try to get in touch with the hotel before you arrive or connect with them via WeChat as the hotel is hard to find when you get off the bus at the stop, they will pick you up and take you to the hotel much is a few minutes aways. - I was the first foreigner to stay here, as an international tourist, I’m sure you’ll love the place but keep in mind only a few people speak English here and the signs are in English and hotel staff will communicate using translator, it’s easy but be prepared - keep in mind that the breakfast is Chinese not western so it includes noodles and vegetables no coffee here. Very good view and helpful staff. They arrange for people to help pick us up from 小北门and help carry the luggage. As it is non peak season, they upgrade us to a room with balcony. The view was stunning. Can see the whole view from room balcony so don’t need to go to the 观景台。They also provide the 苗族costume free. So my wife wear it and took pictures from our room balcony.

Excellent overall....beautiful hotel, room view, good location customer service, simple breakfast but serving with delicious local soup noodle. Highly recommended.

Even though the check-in time was quite late, the host kindly guided us through WeChat Messenger from the taxi pick-up at Kailinan Railway Station(凯里南站) all the way to the b&b! Even though it was 1 AM, a very late hour, they took us for a walk around the area and used a translation app to explain everything to us in detail, making sure we understood. They even lent us a power bank since our battery was running low. As soon as we entered the b&b, we were impressed by how clean and hygienic everything was, especially the bathroom and shower, which are areas we are most sensitive about. The amenities provided were more than sufficient. The view from the accommodation was also fantastic, with the location being close to an observation deck, offering beautiful views at all times. We also had free water and beverages in the fridge. The host kindly reminded us not to miss breakfast and served pho and snacks that were light and easy to enjoy in the morning. The warm soy milk in the winter was a nice touch. After check-out, we had another chance to explore the area. The host kindly stored our heavy luggage for us, which was very thoughtful. Finally, they explained the way to Kailin South Station and even saw us off. It’s not easy to travel in this area even for locals, but thanks to the host’s thoughtful care and attention for us, two foreigners, our Guiyang trip became a very enjoyable experience. If we visit Guiyang again, we will definitely stay here.

I love the view of the hotel, although some of the furniture's are a little bit torn in the living room but the ones in the room are clean and tidy ! The owner has a really cute corgi, and he's very friendly in guiding us despite calling him multiple times a day to ask him for direction , bus transfer, and luggage transfer. I would recommend not to bring too heavy items like I did because the route to the hotel is a bit far and difficult until the bus station. It's a really chill hotel that's near another viewing point for the paddy field . The design is good too! Thanks to the kitchen , I managed to cook my own supper, and there's a convenience store right outside the hotel too. (Good-looking owner if you're wondering) You can even order luggage pick up service when you're leaving (at a price). There's also some food delivery available thru *******. That's all for my stay! I'll miss the cute corgi 🤍
