Garden Route Safari Camp

Beautiful property. We went on an afternoon game drive and a morning horse ride. The horse I rode was a well trained thoroughbred with spirit but restrain. I rode up to zebra, impala and wildebeest. One of the most enjoyable rides I’ve ever been on. There is a wide variety of game on the reserve and we were given an excellent tour by a very knowledgeable guide. I would love to come back or go on another safari with this group. You come for the animals and this places does not disappoint. It does have delicious food and a lovely camp. Thank you for a lovely stay. Caution using the nearby gas station. Our cc was hacked.

The most wonderful experience of our whole trip to South Africa. Warm hearted hospitality and the tour guide Josh did such an amazing job showing us the landscape with all its beauty and secrets and above all so many wonderful animals. Thank you for all these special memories- we’ll come back as soon as possible!

Such a friendly, welcoming place (family-run), with really knowledgable staff for the game drives. We saw so many lovely animals and also plants and learnt some fascinating things during our stay. It was a special birthday for my husband and was the perfect place to be!

Wow! And Wow again! Topped all my expectations and beyond from start to finish. The website says “a slice of paradise” and it truly is! I’ve travelled quite a bit but amazed by the warm welcome and exceptional personalised service we received which was another level to anything I’d experienced before! We stayed over Christmas 2024, the accommodation was beautiful, very comfortable and everyone so invested in making sure the guests had the best time and experience. Our ranger Mark, OMG so knowledgeable, so fun, and a genuinely great person who made us at ease from the start and enabled us not only to see the animals but also to spend time with them and observe their routines and playtimes by taking time to stop and telling us fun facts about the beautiful nyalas (who are now my second best favourite animals!), impalas, giraffes, zebras, hippos, lions and more! I also loved the ethos of the camp and I can’t wait to be back in a couple of years time to see the how it develops. Thank you soooo sooo much Garden Route Safari Camp for the experience of a lifetime!
