My wife and I have been coming to Hermann for many, many years and we try to stay in a different place each time. I am so happy that we decided to not stay in Hermann this year but stay here at The Mercantile. What a beautiful place to stay. The room was amazing. For those of you that know what Melaleuca you will very much like staying here. They carried a full line of those products. It was in the bathroom, the kitchen, and for the laundry. If you want a quiet place to stay, this is the place.

This place is adorable! Perfect for a getaway to Hermann. They have a place to get soda and snacks in the barn next door. The unit is well stocked with essentials. The owners are very accommodating! The Hermann Trolley will pick you up here. You’re just minutes from all the wineries and distilleries. The building has been beautifully restored with great attention to detail. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

This is an amazing stop for anyone riding the Katy (or anyone visiting Hermann). We found it a perfect stop at the end of the long day of riding. It was right off the trail and they made it easy (so we didn't have to go out that day). The communication was great; the place was lovely. We would absolutely stay here anytime I'm visiting this area.

The Mercantile might be my favorite place to stay in the US. My friend and I biked the Katy Trail and stayed in the McKittrick Suite. The details throughout were amazing. They thought of everything someone might need in every room. And to have items in the fridge and cabinets to use since there are no restaurants was a bonus and very much appreciated. I do recommend going into Hermann, though- it is such a cute town. But staying here is an experience no one should miss.

Ten outta ten!! Olga and Monica were incredible hosts, the property was incredible, and we had the best sleep of our lives. The decor was wonderful and they provided incredible products, robes, and a luxury claw foot tub. Extra bonus is that there is a wonderful local bike rental company, called PEDEGO is located at the same site, ask for Paola!

We loved everything about the stay! This is easily the best place we stayed at, especially considering the price. The room was unique and the fact that the building was a historic. The hostess was very responsive to our few requests. They thought of any all the amenities. I guarantee, if you forgot something while traveling, they have it! We will definitely be back to the next time we are through the area!

This property was sooo well furnished. It had everything you could need. The design was fantastic! We love the boutique style Vrbo’s/hotels! It is a memorable experience.
The hosts were so accommodating and responded so quickly with our questions!
We really can’t wait to come back!
