Belmar

It was a dream staying in Belmar. We were greeted by Diego who explained everything about the hotel and its amenities in such a cheerful and wonderful way. The room had such special personally made gifts, that made us feel at home. We got to experience so many nice things, like beer tasting, delicious farm to table food form the celajes restaurant, and amazing views. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting monteverde.

We had the most amazing stay. From the first night, we got there around 9pm greeted with a warm towel and tea. Staff was so accommodating. Food was amazing. Came for the Farm to Table experience and it blew us away. The rooms were stunning. Open air and beds were so comfy. We have nothing but great things to say about out stay

Fantastic family run hotel with lovely rooms and beautiful grounds. The service was excellent and all the staff very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Noeliya for accommodating all our needs and advising on activities. We particularly loved our early morning yoga session!

We enjoyed our stay. The grounds are lush and beautiful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I had high expectation from the rave reviews I read before our stay. So I was a little disappointed that the staff (restaurant, excursion etc.) wasn't as attentive and welcoming as I have hoped.

- Really cool property built into a hill. I’d highly recommend if you want to splurge a little. - We stayed in the Nicoya suite and it was amazing. Views from the balcony were spectacular. It’s at the top of the hill so you have to walk up stairs to get to and from your room. But the balcony jacuzzi, swing chair/bed and views were worth it. - Hotel restaurant is really good. They have their own gardens and farm so lots of farm to table food. - Free yoga in the morning was pretty easy, which we appreciated. Juice bar on site. Massages were cheaper than other places but they don’t have a full spa. There is a ~20 min self guided hike thru their property that goes down to the river with a little waterfall. Brewery on site had a good view but the service was super slow. - We saw monkeys, coati, an armadillo, and lots of birds while on property. We loved our stay at Hotel Belmar and hope to come back in the future.

Our stay at Hotel Belmar was wonderful. The check-in was very relaxing and they even recognized that we were celebrating our anniversary with this trip. Our room was in the building across the street from the reception desk. The Canopy Room was exactly as pictured, nicely appointed and very clean. The wrap-around balcony had forest views, and we even spotted two toucans. There was a bath on the deck which I hadn't expected us to use, but the kids loved it. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed a meal at the brewery, breakfast at the restaurant, and snacks from the juice bar; everything was delicious. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. We would definitely return to Hotel Belmar!
