Hotel Baia

Hotel was right on the water and no hills to climb to get there. Also if driving parking is 50 meters away. Bathroom is a little small. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. Hotel also located in the quieter side of the town which was great for us. Once there expect a lot of walking just saying.

Cominciamo dalle note positive: l'albergo si trova proprio vicino alla stazione di monterosso di fronte alla spiaggia privata, accessibile e molto comoda. Inoltre, gli ombrelloni sono ben distanziati quindi vi è la possibilità di avere anche un po' di privacy (a differenza delle altre spiagge vicino). Poi, il parcheggio Fegina è proprio lì attaccato quindi, tutto sommato ha una posizione davvero strategica. Non posso non spendere 2 parole anche per i bagnini che ci lavorano perché sono davvero MOLTO cordiali, attenti e disponibili. Ultima nota non spiacevole è la camera: dimensione adeguata, pulita e le donne di servizio sono molto gentili. Purtroppo, le note positive finiscono qui. Note negative: colazione davvero molto scarsa! Ci sono solo croissant e tutti prodotti confezionati (a parte qualche fetta di prosciutto e di formaggio e delle torte di verdure). Per chi alla mattina vuole qualcosa di dolce deve prepararsi a mangiare solo roba "a mio parere scadente". Oltretutto, la colazione inizia alle 8, quindi se sei una persona mattiniera scordati di mangiare prima di quell'ora. Se arrivi qualche minuto prima delle 8, la proprietaria (presumo sia la madre del ragazzo in reception) ti dice di aspettare fuori (con modi poco garbati) in quanto la colazione non è pronta. Ultimo ma non meno importante, l'incompetenza e la sgarbatezza appunto della signora proprietaria. Una mattina, io e il mio compagno, ci siamo presi un frutto a testa da portare in spiaggia per la merenda e la signora è venuta nel tavolo a "sgridarci" davanti a tutti (facendoci passare per dei pezzenti per un banalissimo frutto) dicendoci che non possiamo farlo perché il cibo va consumato sul luogo. Per concludere, non mi sembra molto in linea con la sostenibilità ambientale perché in camera c'è solo un cestino per gettare i rifiuti e non vedo molte migliorie sotto questo punto di vista. Beh, se avete un buon spirito di adattamento questo posto va anche bene, ma a noi di certo non ci vedono più!!!!

Hôtel situé juste en face de la mer. Très bien placé, propose également si vous le souhaitez une location de « parasols et de chaises longues » pour un prix de 35 € la journée donnant sur une plage privée de l’hôtel (surveillé par un maître nageur) La chambre est propre avec comme équipement un coffre fort et un petit frigo. Petit déjeuner copieux et bon. Personnel vraiment sympathique.

This is a perfectly located hotel right on the waterfront and only 3 minutes walk from the train station. The rooms are very small but typical for the area. The included breakfast was good. The family business do run a good show with lovely staff and clean enough rooms. The only criticism is the elderly lady (assumed the mother) who hangs around staring at guests taking the breakfast food. She actually told our group that they needed to tip the girls due to all the coffees they ordered. The entitlement is 2 per person and we planned on tipping without being ordered to. Best to keep her away from your guests.

Accommodations were adequate except for an elevator which was reserved for luggage. Our complaint was that the staff was the surliest we’ve ever seen, certainly for Italy. We ordinarily find hotel staff willing to go out of their way to help guests, but in this case the front desk was manned by a woman who had a very serious attitude problem that pervaded the entire operation. And we do not travel as ‘entitled’ Americans. We are friendly, and try to leave a favorable impression on our hosts. It was impossible in this case.

Very nice small hotel on the promenade. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was charming. Simple but clean room. Listen to waves throughout the night. There is a lift for luggage which is quite helpful. I would happily stay here again

Camera di dimensioni giuste per una coppia con piccolo balconcino fronte mare. Abbiamo tenuto aperto le finestre e le imposte per poter ammirare le luci lontane di Vernazza Corniglia e Manarola. Le onde del mare cosi' vicine non le avevamo mai sentite. Personale della reception discreto ed educato. Personale addetto alla colazione a buffet sorridente e gentile. Colazione nella sala interna o a scelta lungo i tavolini fronte mare.

This was such a perfect hotel for us!!! It is 3 doors down from the train station…on the beach…we had breakfast buffet included and was so close to everything. When I come back to Cinque Terre I will definitely be staying here again.b I am gluten green and they had great breakfast options for me.
