My car was damage on the property during the hurricane and nobody seems to have any remorse nobody care nobody reached out to me I hate this place I will never go back

The view was great, the place was very beautiful especially at nights .The food options was limited and the entertainment was not good . I express that my husband and I was celebrating our wedding anniversary, however we were place in a room with 2 bedf (amily room) there was nothing special about the room for us. I was disappointed at that.

From the service upon entering from the Bell Man Silvester to the attentive housekeeper and front desk checkin, our stay was amazing even though it was short. I will be back for our family reunion.

I will start by saying that I had read the reviews on this resort before going, but wanted to have an open mind and see for myself. This is an honest review of Royalton and I really hope management see this because I believe this resort has the opportunity to be really top notch with a few changes. The hits: A lot of people were saying that check-in took forever, we did not have an issue with that. We were in the diamond club which has a separate check in area so maybe that is why. But it was pretty quick, they gave us our room keys which are bracelets and then we waited for our butler to introduce himself. We had Cecil and Ryan. First of all this resort is beautiful. It has amazing pools, a nice swim up bar and a gorgeous beach. There were plenty of chairs for everyone (we were on the diamond side, but both areas had ample seating). We spent a lot of time in the lazy river (there was always lots of tubes, they never ran out). The pirate ship water area for kids was great, my toddler was OBSESSED lol he did not want to leave the area. They also have water slides for adults that my husband and I went on which were also fun. Again all these areas had lots of seating. The vibe team was a highlight (shout out to Brittany she was awesome!). They really try to get people up and dancing. The shows were all very good and you could tell they wanted everyone to have fun. While we were there they had bingo at the pool and a foam party which was awesome. If you have little ones like us, the beauty and the beast show on Wednesdays and the family night on Thursdays they put on were awesome. My toddler was singing along and couldn’t stop talking about the show afterwards. The misses: There are definitely some things to be worked on. First of all, I honestly don’t really thing the diamond club is necessary. The butler service was very unpredictable. Sometimes extremely helpful and sometimes not. They also only mostly communicate through WhatsApp which not everyone has. My husband was the only one in our group who had the app so he was the one mostly organizing everything. But we still were not able to get into many restaurants and I don’t think there was really much of a difference considering the extra cost. The rooms overall were nice, but had some issues. Some of these issues were fixed, others were not or took forever to resolve. Our room’s balcony door would not open unless you were literally using your entire weight to open it lol we all struggled with it. We mentioned this to the butler and he just said it was a child proof thing? It definitely wasn’t lol we didn’t push on getting it fixed because it wasn’t a big deal but nothing was ever done about it and honestly, some WD40 probably would have done the trick. Our phone in the room also never worked properly. There was a red light that kept going off starting the second or third day and again when we told the butler nothing was resolved. I recently stayed at the Royalton Blue Waters in Montego Bay from October 23rd to October 27th to attend a wedding. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by a series of unfair treatments and financial exploitation, which I believe stemmed from being an American citizen. Before the hurricane struck, I encountered several issues, including a malfunctioning refrigerator, leaks from the ceiling, and being locked out of my room for hours despite repeatedly informing the staff. Unfortunately, there was no sense of urgency in addressing these problems. Throughout my stay, I also struggled to get housekeeping to provide fresh linens and properly clean our rooms. The wedding party was originally scheduled to leave on Monday, October 27th, but we were unable to do so due to the storm and airport shutdowns. Despite our predicament, hotel management charged us exorbitant and inconsistent rates for additional nights, fully aware that we were stranded and had no control over the situation. Meanwhile, they were accommodating their staff and their families free of charge. When I sought clarification about these charges, I was met with rude attitudes from some staff members, notably Dorothy and Shanelle, who would either dismiss my inquiries or walk away. Once the hurricane hit on October 28th, the hotel failed to provide adequate food, proper safety measures, evacuation plans, or updated information. On October 29th, we still received insufficient food and no updates. By October 30th, the hotel began charging us $20 for a bus ride to reach an area with cellular service so we could contact friends and family back in the United States. Additionally, they started locking guests out of their rooms until further payments were made. I understand that we visited during hurricane season, but the treatment I received was deeply disheartening and unacceptable. This experience has left me feeling unsafe and has diminished my desire to return to Jamaica in the future.

The manages were rude and unaccommodating throughout my stay. Dorthy a front desk manager, was especially unprofessional. Instead of addressing my concerns, she spoke to me with a dismissive and disrespectful attitude, which only made the situation worse. I tried to handle things calmly, but the lack of courtesy and basic customer service was unbelievable. Guests deserve to be treated with respect, not made to feel like an inconvenience. For the price and reputation of this hotel, I expected far better service and leadership. I won’t be returning, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere if they want to be treated professionally and with care. I will say Shirleen, Ameka, Bianca, Tishanna, Vanessa, Jordan, Mariah, Jhamone and the whole vide team where amazing.
